Joey Dorsey on Radio 610

Post#1 » by Rocketsterps » Fri Jun 27, 2008 9:24 pm

It's been along time, damn the forum looked better the other way. This format is not easy on the eyes. Anyway. GREAT, GREAT INTERVIEW. I LOVE THIS GUY...

The NEW Rockets PF, via trade in the 2008 NBA Draft, talks with Rich & Matt about becoming a part of the team and more.

Who listens to 610? He was on 790. Yeah he is a great guy. He said Morey and Adelman expects him to play center this season. And he said he will go against Yao in practice.

This interview got me a better understanding of Dorsey, I'm liking what I hear. And who ever said hes 6-6 and undersized is wrong he is 6-9 265. Thats LBJ size right there, but with even more muscle.

Just look at the strength..

He lied.

Joey Dorsey's official height is 6'7 WITH SHOES.

He is 6'7 but he has a long wingspan and standing reach and thats what really matters.
He is so physical , I like that.
Whenever the team is a sleep , T-Mac jacking up jumpers , Yao sleep walking , Joey comes in the game throws people around to wake the guys up a little.
“He didn’t miss?” , “That’s fantastic. That’s tremendous. I wish I could have a day like that. I dream of the day I could go 12-for-12.”-Rafer Alston

I live in Washington DC so I'm not familiar w/ 790. Post the link to that station if he said something different.

6'7 Center.... Hmmm can't say i'm a big fan of that. But he has the summer league to impress me.
We'll see.

well they say Ben Wallace is really 6'7". I like Greene better than Batum anyway so getting Dorsey is just a bonus.

If Dorsey makes the team though, who gets cut or traded?
Loren Woods? Michael Harris?
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

Think of Ben Wallace.
Strong, Short, Athletic, No Offense, and Good Defense.
I think he will help us like Milsap helps the Jazz w/o the offense.

both Harris and Woods got non-guarantee contract
easy to waive

If Dorsey is 6'7, 265lbs at 9% Body fat that's tremendous. That means he's super jacked.

Consider this...McGrady is 6'9, 228lbs with about 11% Body fat.

Imagine how much more muscle Dorsey has on him than McGrady.

This isn't Mr. olympia, this is basketball though, but his body definitely replicates one of Ben Wallace. Let's hope his game does, too.

Like I said before, I'm fond of Dorsey, but unaware about Greene.

Great interview. Dude is a funny guy...
Kinda surprised that Dorsey only benches 345 lbs.

I mean little Earl MANkins benches 315 lbs.

Earl is special, I guess then, cause 345lbs is steall beasty. I think Dwight goes at abou 245 or 275.

But the ratio of his muscle mass against that just kills it.

What's with this ben wallace comparison? Ben wallace sucks!!! He had one maybe two good years on Detroit and even then it was more of a Rasheed thing. It allowed him to roam around and grab rebounds (though at an astonishingly high rate). Look at him in chicago or CLE. Garbage. Sheed is a lanky dude that is decent at defense and Yao is tall and covers more ground than a normal human being, so I hope Dorsey can be somewhat productive, but considering that dorsey won't play much, if any, with Yao, he is garbage.
