Well I'll be the first, lol I am interested in this guy. Clutch performer, can do it all, play make, rebound, score, very good at stealing the pocket, and when he posts up against smaller guys he is a beast! Plus hes one of my top 3 current favorite players

Re: B-Diddy opts out...
Very interesting move, he knows he won't get more than what he opted out of, so possibly he's looking for a smaller contract with more stability. I honestly don't know what we could potentially offer considering our assets are limited compared to others, but I'd assume:
Brooks, Greene, Jackson, re-signed Landry (?), Head and a filler would be our best possible deal.
Baron would be absolutely SICK on this team.
Get er done Morey!!
(No chance

He's been pretty durable for the past 2 years, and hes also bulked up more, I think he'd be alright. I think we can get a sign and trade done for him, but its all up to Morey now.

Re: B-Diddy opts out...
You all have to realize that expirings mean nothing (actually it'd be a negative and only there to make the numbers work) to Golden State when you're talking about a sign-and-trade with Davis because if they needed the cap room they'd just let him walk and not even have to pay the expirings the last year of their contract.
If a sign-and-trade were to happen it would be based entirely on the prospects involved. I do not see Baron coming to HOU in any way, shape, or form. Beno is a much more realistic possibility.

There is always a chance, but I don't see one that makes sense.

Re: B-Diddy opts out...
He's not coming here. The Yahoo article and Tmacformvp are right; Davis is going to LA. (If he ends up with the Lakers instead of the Clippers, they win the title.)
At any rate, can Davis run a halfcourt offense? I'm not so sure. Remember, this is the guy who was once traded for Speedy Claxton, and at the time some "experts" thought that NO got the better end of that deal. Why? Davis didn't run the offense and he jacked up too many threes. Plus, he was making a lot of money and he was always hurt.
His career was rejuvenated in GS because they run small ball and shoot a lot of 3s. Davis won't be able to do that here, so his numbers will suffer. If he reverts back to his GS form, he'd probably draw the ire of coach and get benched.
Don't get me wrong, now. I think Davis is a good player, but HOU is absolutely the wrong system for him.

Re: B-Diddy opts out...
Davis got traded from NO because he was unhappy and pouted his way to a trade. Davis is IMO talented enough to fit in any system. I do agree he's not the best fit, but that's more because with Yao and T-Mac you don't need a max-contract star PG, just a solid one. Of course what's the point really when there is no chance in hell he is coming here.

I'm not so sure about that, he did run a half court offense with NO before they were in rebuilding mode, also like to mention those were his all star years. He was traded for Claxton and Dale Davis, and NO did the deal because they were clearly rebuilding, while GSW were looking to get better. Again the injury problems the last 2 yrs haven't been a problem, hes bulked up since before, and he'd be a perfect low post threat against smaller PGs. And its not like he was playing for a coach that let his team do what ever they want, no, Don Nelson isn't that type of coach. He is a great play maker, defender, rebounder, has great size, and can score very well. I agree with you that he often jacks up to many three's, but once he gets it going its really hard to stop him. But I'm pretty sure he'd be a perfect fit in the Princeton offense, and it'd just make us much more fun to watch.

I had to read that part twice. For a second I thought you were describing Nelson's qualities.
Anyway, he's not coming here. He didn't opt out of $17 million to play third fiddle to Yao and T-Mac and lose in the first round.
He will probably stay in California.

Their bench would be good too.
Fisher, Vujacic, Turiaf, Radmanovic, Farmar, Ariza, Walton.

Yeah please go to the Clippers or back to the Warriors.
If he goes to the Lakers they are pretty much a lock to win the West.
