ok, v-span has no affiliation with the rockets. Neither does Hakeem Olajuwon. Can we not talk about Hakeem anymore? No one on this board cares about spanoulis? when and where did everyone on this board get asked if they care about spanoulis? I must have missed it. Its the OFFseason. that means they arent playing any games. If someone comes on a dead forum in the offseason with some news on a former rocket, i dont see why that would get locked. its not like there are any more threads on there worth anything. im gonna assume 90% of the people on this board are adults, so we can choose ourselves whats worth talking about and whats not worth talking about.

Yes Vator does do a wonderful job. Where is E-Wizzle by the way, we REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY miss him. once again you state the board truly DOES NOT CARE? Some people on the board do care. The easiest thing to do on a forum is scan the list of topics. The topics that you like, open them up. If you have something to add to the topic, then write a reply. While scanning the list of topics, if you see one you dont like, then you look past that one, and dont open it. Just because one individual doesnt like a topic, doesnt mean everyone doesnt like it. God made us all different, with all kinds of different likes and interests. We are all special, and all different from everyone else. None of us are exactly the same. Therefore, locking a topic just because you can and just because one single individual doesnt like it makes no sense at all. The topic has 12 replies, so obviously some people cared

I think it's cute that VSpan drops in every once in awhile to give updates on how he's doing.

I personally don't care for greekmac since he never really performed for us, and not likely to comeback here. But i don't mind watching him succeed in the olympics and greek liga

Yeah I don't really get understand why it had to be locked. It's a forum, if we don't want to see a topic we don't care about, we won't click on it. I did click on it to see how he's doing these days. Yes he sucked when he was here and I didn't particularly like him but I still am curious of how he's performing but is too lazy or doesn't understand european sites to look for them myself.

I am sure no other Rockets fan gives a **** about that sore ass pussy. Moreover, are you seriously trying to compare between Hakeem's legacy and that of V-Span's? Go learn some Rockets history before claiming yourself that you're a Rockets fan.

I understand the hostility towards V-Span with his loudmouth (trust me I didn't like him either) and such but I do feel that it's kind of childish that every V-Span thread that shows him in a positive light gets locked.

You have a personal problem with KR because he has locked an awful lot of your threads so let's just be up front and honest about that. You have been on a subtle crusade against him for quite some time. I will give you some friendly advice that making threads to call out a moderator is not a healthy way to have your voice heard. The only thing that will come from this type of reaction is that you will wind up suspended or worse. There is a system in place that allows you to voice your concerns if you ever bothered to look into it.

That said, I fully support KR's decision to lock that thread. Span is no longer a Rocket, his rights belong to the Spurs, and this is more similar to having a bi-monthly Ryan Bowen update thread than your comparison to Hakeem even though Hakeem threads aren't exactly popping up every other month either.

If you think KR is heavy handed spend some quality time on a few other boards like the Lakers and Bulls. In fact, I wish Wizzle would come back too because on top of being a great poster, he really knew how to let guys have it who were out of line and probably locked more threads up than even KR. He would often lock threads that I planned to leave open and die of natural causes which was perfectly fine with me of course because I trust his judgement. Kinda brings to mind a few months ago when somebody implied that he would never get a guy suspended or issue warnings. The bottom line is we all have different personalities so you can't always make everybody happy all the time, but locking threads is part if the job and we do so at our own discretion.

I keep looking at your join date and Wizzle was inactive long before you joined. Makes me wonder a bit.

It isn't like that at all. I'm not sure how many of these threads you have actually seen but the original poster often goes into how Span is the greatest point guard in the world bar none and how Scola is nowhere near as good a player. These threads are almost always met with a negative response by half of the people that respond and on the strength of that fact alone, it warrants a locked thread due to the backlashe, subtle insults, and off topic responses.
