Way OT - does anyone own an....

iphone?

i have been wanting one for so long, but didnt want to shell out that much. now they are $199 for an 8 gb or $299 for a 16 gb. a buddy of mine has one, and he pays, i think, $160 a month but he has unlimited texting and a bunch of other add-ons. that's almost $2000 a year for phone service! i was just curious as to if anyone had one, wants to get one, hates them, or knows something about them that a lot of people dont know about them?

I think everyone wants one, but like you said they're expensive. Even with the price drop the service still kills you.

there was a post somewhere, i think engadget.com had the article about the price ratio between the last and the new 3g iphone...its basically the same, you just pay a little more of service for the new iphone, the upside is the better speeds of 3g

I would have bought one if it had a better camera, but 2mp and no flash sucks big time..i use my cam often...anyways, iphone is still a nice piece of electronics

I do. I got mine on Sunday.

It's such a great phone, nothing out right now is better IMO.
