Best SG/SF Combos in the NBA

Assuming Ronron "stays sane" with us, how many teams, short of the Bulls with Jordan/Pippen/Kukoc/Harper/Rodman, have had better sg/sf lineups than we currently have?
McGrady/Artest/Battier/Barry
I can't think of any others offhand that trump that.

I got nothing.
(Looked up some championship Celtics rosters, but they weren't deep at the 2/3. Ditto Pistons and West-era Lakers.)
**Edit: Found one.

Cooper/Johnson/Wilkes? Hmmmmaaaybeeee yeah. They definitely didn't have the same shooting range, and not sure on defense (other than Cooper). Run TMC might possibly have been, too, though I doubt it. Not overly familiar with them and don't know who their backups were.

This is my #1 liking of the deal.
Honestly, who does the other team put their designated defender on? If you put him on Ron, Tracy will kill you. If you put him on Tracy, Ron's size will kill you.
Gosh I woke up this morning, turned the computer on, frontpage chronicle....and i estatic I run outta the house screaming YES! YES! **** YES!

Houston also has hands down the best defensive wings in league.

Rodman is more PF/C for the Bulls
another SG/SF combination i can think of is Pierce/Allen/Posey

The 2000 Blazers were pretty close. Remember how stacked that team was? If it weren't for some crooked refs, they would have won the title that year.
http://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/POR/2000.htmlThe 2001 Blazers were even better on paper. Unfortunately, the version of Kemp that they got was the one who had already discovered donuts.

As of right now it has to be our team.
I like the Lakers one of Kobe/Odom/Sasha and Walton

Yes, but he was capable of and did play some sf for them, too.
I don't think Pierce is as good as McGrady (although they're close), that Allen is as good as Artest (better shooting but not that great at defense), or that Posey is as good as Battier. Still a greaat combo, I just don't think
as good.

Like you implied though, they aren't as good as ours. I don't think they're as good as Boston's either - Finals demonstrated that reasonably well. That's why I didn't mention either of those teams though.
It's almost always just me saying this, but I never thought that Blazers team was nearly as stacked as people have always said.

Magic Johnson
Jamaal Wilkes
Michael Cooper
Norm Nixon
Bob McAdoo (played everything but PG)
That's
depth. And they won a ring. So as for me and my people, we'll wait until the playoffs to call a championship team a "maybe".
P.S. - I'm still kind of twitchy, anticipating Harpring's upcoming beatdown.

Oh crap, I always thought McAdoo played PF. In that case, yes, definitely better.

Are you serious? Pierce is way better than McGrady. Now, Pierce and the McGrady on the Orl team are close and I would definitely give retro McGrady the edge, one-on-one. No matter what your knock is on Pierce (shoots too much, wanksta, etc), he's a winner. There's a reason Mac has never won a playoff series and yes you can say his team is crappy all you want, but didn't lebron beat Detroit two years ago? Anyways this is for another day.
I think Magic's group and Jordan's bulls are better than our lineup only because of their killer instinct and drive to win. Potential wise or athlectism-wise we're in their class, but until we actually win something (like Ribalding said) we're still nobodys, like the nuggets, hawks, wizards (teams that can't win playoff games).

You can be a great team and not win anything. Like Alston said, there are three things you need to win in the NBA, and one of them is luck - of which we've had scarce little.
Pierce's last year was definitely far better if solely on the basis of shooting percentages/efficiency, but of course Pierce is going to be able to shoot better percentages with 2 allstars to help relieve pressure and double teams from him. McGrady also played a good chunk of the season injured and with Yao out. I still think that for their careers and in terms of ability that McGrady is slightly better.

right now in the NBA I would rank you guys #1 in the SG/SF dept because of your depth
2. Portland Trailblazers
Brandon Roy/Rudy Fernandez
Martell Webster/Travis Outlaw
3. Miami Heat
Dwyane Wade/ Dorell Wright
Shawn Marion/James Jones

Jordan/Pippen by themselves > T Mac/Artest/Battier
Who cares about depth? They won 6 titles so...
If you want to include Rodman then the gap widens even further.
The Bad Boys had Dumars/Johnson/Dantley/Rodman and then Dumars/Johnson/Agguire/Rodman

Dorrell, Beasley, and Jones aren't exactly scrubs. Anyway, who cares about backups, I would trade the listed starters, backups, and their mommas for Wade+Marion
