It's like a ghost town there now! I know that there is no bigger story than Artest in Houston, but Football is coming up and coming up soon! How about some love for the Texans????

Or, you can just add to Vator's workload as he's the mod there. Either way, it's cool!

I can't wait for the football season to start, but there really isn't anything to be excited about with the Texans this upcoming season.

What? They have a pretty solid team for once(they did last season as well despite having the most injuries of any team in the NFL).

Only issue to me is the schedule is pretty tough and they play in a tough division. Still, there is alot of potential on this team and I see alot to look forward to with them...

I'll definitely be posting there alot more when the season gets going.

It's just too much work to get there. Can't we place a link to the forums here somewhere?

Nothing to be excited about? They clawed their way up to 8-8 in the best division in Football last season. They have a young defense that is on the verge of exploding. Andre Johnson is back from injuries. We actually have O-line depth and the best O-line coach in football!

There is a lot to be excited about with the Texans upcoming season. Yes, our schedule is going to be brutal, but this team could very well surprise a lot of people.

Actually that is already in the works.

Don't know when, but it's coming. It was one of the many reasons they upgraded the board.

Also, the Astros forum is...ah nevermind... :-?

Am I the only one who thinks that our owner/GM are absolutely insane for thinking they can "win" by adding mediocre scrubs like Hawkins and Wolf, and not just trading everyone away(except maybe Pence) and rebuilding?

Of course I'm not.

It's sad, I actually am leaning towards them trading Oswalt and Berkman just because we need to rebuild NOW and get as much talent in return as possible, and I also hate seeing them waste away on a crap team with no future in sight.

Until they do that, the Astros are pretty much dead to me, as are the forums.

/end rant.

Carry on!

Go Texans!

We need Berkman. He's our guy, our product, homemade. Oswalt and Tejada though...frankly, I'd be upset if they weren't traded. Even Carlos Lee. Hell, besides Pence, Wandy, and Berkman, trade away.

I'd be incredibly pissed if we ever traded Fat Elvis too, he should retire an Astro, but it's hard to get any decent prospects in return for scrubs. I can't see many teams giving up good young players for an aging Tejada or Carlos Lee(doesn't he have a pretty big contract?).

It's just something I've been leaning towards more lately, that's how bad the state of the franchise is. I see absolutely no future at all with this team the way they're headed now, and by the time we maybe have some good young talent and are competitive, Fat Elvis will be washed up.

God I miss the Bagwell/Biggio days...

Either way, they definitely should have traded Oswalt/Loretta/Blum/anyone not named Pence/Berkman already. What do they do instead? Bring in 2 mediocre pitchers who will never amount to crap in hopes that it will help us make a run which is basically already impossibly out of reach.

Pathetic...
