Not sure if this been posted, but it's still an interesting read nonetheless and should be looked over. Twice.

Yeah, this pisses me off big time, the reporter is making a big deal out of nothing. But I also don't think Yao should have shown more concern, but its mainly the reporters fault, hes just being a big dooshnozzle.

LOL Ron is one funny guy, I love watching Artest play ball. One thing about him though is that what he says and what he actually does are usually two different things. Ron says Tmac can take over the game but when it comes to it his competetive nature takes over and he tries to do too much. He has compared himself to the elite players like Kobe and Lebron many times. He is good but not as good as he thinks. When asked about the trade he said that "he will be great". The better response would of been this TEAM is going to be great. You all are in for a lot of drama. You need to sign Ron long term otherwise he will be a distraction all season long. Good luck I can't wait to see how things turn out.

You gotta love Artest, he always say what he thinks. Plus hes also hilarious.
Obviously the media has transformed Yao words, and also maybe some of Ron words, i love how he use the sarcasm, lol, but as i said, i don't know if all this it's true, and if it is, not a problem.

Yea, the interview also pissed me off. I emailed the writer to stfu about it. I'm sure Yao will welcome Artest with open arms. Just another idiot writer trying to make something out of nothing.

Okay I got a response from the writer.

He basically told me that things can always change with Ron and that he doesn't need the writer to create a controversy and does fine on his own.

Maybe true, but he didn't need to blow up Yao's comments towards Artest.

After reading the story the interviewer is an instigator trying to make something out of nothing.. But Yao Ming is worried about the chemisty and scared of Artest because of the "brawl" which was a few years ago. I think that Yao Ming just buys into the hype and will have a change of heart when Artest joins the team. Luis Scola was smart and did not judge him, he just says he has to play with him anyways so why not meet him for himself.. and Ron Ron gave some intelligent answers, knowing most of the weren't true or just annoying "I'm from the ghetto" we know this and we know how you act some of us are too just quit saying it, Ron is a smart person just "ghetto"...
But this had me laughing...

I'll come off the bench, I don't care. Let Shane start, and bring me off as a sixth man or seventh man. I would love to come off the bench in Houston. It doesn't even matter.

Whatever Yao Ming wants me to do, I'll be there. Whatever Tracy McGrady tells me to do, that's how it's going to go down. Ultimately, whatever Rick Adelman tells me to do is exactly what I'm going to do.

If he tells me to jump off the building, I'll jump off the building.

There's a link on top of page... The Paragraph before the interview starts if I remember correctly.

There is an update , Yao called Artest and talked to him to make things clear and in his 2nd interviewe Artest sounded a lot more pleased.

You guys get Artest and if Yao and Tmac can stay healthy yall have a shot at the title. The Rockets are my second favorite team in the league.

If you read the article with Yao's quotes, you'll see that it isn't anything bad...at all.

@yao's comment on artest. Is he uncomfortable that artest's arrival will jeapordize the team's soft basketball that revolves arnd him? I mean yao needs to stop talkin too much being that his team china got beat by australia and he got very few touches. I think yao's size can really be against him that prevents him from being dominant. Yao can't carry a team..he's no jordan..we saw that when he can't win in the playoffs or with china when the team revolves around his offense. yao needs all the quality help he can get. and Artest just added someone who can score and defend when yao is being handled.

Yeah I mean Artest is exactly the guy we need , exactly.

He is a 3rd scorer that can create his own shot , create for others , shoot , drive post up and is not jump shot happy he wants to attack the rim.
On top of that he is the best wing defender in the NBA.

He is a little crazy but he always gives his best on the court , always.
He is tough and has a mean streak on a team that lacks killer instinct and toughness.

He is on a contract year when his next contract will be his last signifcant contract.

A lot of championship teams had succes with crazy guys on the roster and we have the perfect stars who want to give up the ball and have no ego.

At least for one year we will be just fine.

Yao needs to understand that chemistry is good and all but without Artest it will be hard to get to the 2nd round and no way we win 2 playoff series.

We've still got to make sure there's still a commitment. That's the main thing, is to make sure there's still a commitment. When I speak to the powers-that-be of the Houston Rockets organization, we're going to find out how much they really want me there. We'll find out. I'm still waiting to find out if this is just a trade or if this is like a long-term commitment type thing. I haven't spoken to anybody yet. I'm still waiting.

I just wonder if this may become a problem if the rockets dont offer him a extension before the season ends.

Artest want a commintment and I understand him.
I really hope we can work something out as soon as possible , I don't want this thing to mess everything up.

He really respects Adelman and believe Adelman wouldn't have accepted this trade , and Morey wouldn't do this if Adelman wasn't confident he can handle Artest.

Just give him a 2 year extension with 3rd year team option for 10 million a year.
Even if something doesn't work it will not prevent us from signing a free agent because we will have 20 million of capspace in 2010/11 with all the big free agents.
