Help Please - questions

Hey, I don't know if any of you guys remember 'Virus4762' but I'm him. The e-mail that I signed up with was deactivated and then, in a massive brain fart, I forgot my password. I clicked 'forgot password' and the website told me that it sent a message to my e-mail with my new password. I, of course, couldn't check this e-mail so my old account is now useless. Does anyone have any advice for how to save my old account?

Also, I used to be a HUGE rockets fan but in the past year I chose to stop following the Rockets (too much time and pain) (hence I stopped coming here which is what caused me to forget my password).

Anyway, I've been reading the boards for about 10 minutes and I have a couple of questions. Out of the four guys we drafted (Joey Dorsey, Patrick Ewing, Maarty Leunen, Sean Singletary) a lot of you guys seem interested in Dorsey - is a solid prospect? And are the other three scrubs? Also, what's the deal with Luther Head, Chuck Hayes, and Mike Harris? None of you guys are putting them on your potential rosters. I know Harris was a kind of a scrub when we first signed him but I doubt Hayes has gotten much worse. Do we just have no room for those guys now that we have Artest? Also, it seems like no one likes Head now (or a lot of people think he' s gonna get traded). Why is this?

I have said enough about our draft picks. But the Luther Head trade scenario is intriguing. I have a feeling that Morey's going to keep Luther in the squad. Adelman's system is dependent on a mix of slashers and shooters. If you were to look at our roster, we have 3 spot-up shooters: Barry, Battier and Head - and having 3 shooters make our roster more expandable. I don't see a reason why we should trade Luther to keep all the rookies in our roster.

Our roster should look something like the following:
C: Yao/Dikembe
PF: Scola/Hayes/Dorsey
SF: Artest/Battier
SG: McGrady/Barry/Head
PG: Alston/Brooks/Francis

Its not that difficult to understand why we're "interested" in Dorsey. Patrick Ewing Jr and Sean Singletary are gonna get cut any minute now. They were just throw ins to make the Artest trade go through. Maarty Leunen was our 2nd round draft pick but he's unlikely(make that VERY unlikely) to be on the roster come training camp. No need to talk about someone we're not gonna see until next year at the earliest. On the other hand, Dorsey's the only one out of those 4 who is expected to make the roster ,hence why we have the most interest in him.

The deal with Head is that he suks. Litteraly.
The deal with Chuck Hayes and Mike Harris is that they're both short, undersized and unlikely to receive significant playing time.

People on this board are mad at Head because:

1) He's not a PG, and he's been forced to play PG for us in the past (which he did poorly)
2) He's disappeared in the playoffs two years in a row
3) He's not a good defender, and he's been asked to play defense (which he did poorly)

That said, Head and Hayes are 3rd stringers. There's no denying that. They have one good skill (Chuck = defense, Head = shooting), but they should disappear from the rotation on a deep roster. Playing them extended minutes will often make fans mad at them because their weaknesses become clear.

Nonetheless, I would still like to keep them around. We could do MUCH worse than bring in Luther Head and Chuck Hayes off the bench behind our main subs.

Head's good at shooting? Could've fooled me.

Luther Head percentages from 3pt:

05-06: 36%
06-07: 44%
07-08: 35%

http://www.nba.com/playerfile/luther_he ... stats.html

I would call those "good" percentages. How about you?

EDIT: Your response, I think, fits into the second category I listed above. You think Head sucks at shooting because you're just focusing on his horrid playoff performances.

The Rockets drafted 3 players. Greene was traded to Sac in the Artest deal.
Dorsey was drafted to provide defense,shot-blocking and rebounding. He was very good at that in college,so hopes are he can do the same in the NBA. He also has a good line of BS,which makes for good copy.(We'll ignore him getting killed by Oden after claiming he'd shut Oden down in college.) Team hopes he can be a defensive complement to Yao and Scola(like West and Chandler).
Maarty Leunen was drafted as a bit of a project. He was expected to play in Europe for a yr or two and develope his game. He's not a great athlete but he's basketball smart and hustles. Has a very good outside shot, pretty decent passer and rebounds in his area. He played much better than expected in the Summer League and the team practices that the Rockets head of scouting said the staff thinks Maarty could give the team spot minutes NOW. Don't be too shocked if he ends up Rockets' 15nth man and goes to D-League where he can be brought up.
Ewing and Singleton were Sac deaft picks that were included in the Artest trade. They'll prob play in camp and then get waived.
Head has had 2 miserable Playoff series. McGrady was hurt. The team lost the 2 games Alston missed and was 2-1 in the three games he completed,so Alston got a pass. That left Luther's 0 for a gazzillion as the focus of everybody's wrath.
Hayes missed too many lay-ups and Scola and Landry stole the fan's affections.
Harris is an end of the bench scrub w/a contract that isn't fully guaranteed,so he can be cut pretty easily.

Head is decent. What other 3rd stringer would you rather have from the other teams in the league? His contract is small and he can play garbage minutes. If he was a starter and had those numbers, we'd send him to the guillotine. Most people that trash on him are also the ones that over-rated him when we drafted him. I knew what we were drafting, an undersized shooting guard, severely undersized. He's actually improved over the years, I believe, confidence-wise, his potential ceiling was never high to begin with. =/

Head is good player
problem with him is he disappeared when giving limited playing time
he's not good enough to be a starter to get more playing time
so either he had to improve in limited playing time or he's gone

Don't get me wrong, I think he's terrible as a part time starter or second stringer, always have, hate seeing him play more than 8-12 mpg, and think that our requirement of leaning on him for significant minutes since drafting him has been our biggest weakness, but like PR said, he's a decent third stringer. I'm absolutely not against trading him as long as we aren't just giving him away for nothing since there's no point in that. Everything he's said there is compatible with what I think. Though as a third stringer I do wish he wasn't making almost 2 million this year and 3 million next. The longer we've kept him, the less likely it is that we'll be able to trade him, he's most likely just going to expire from his rookie contract with us in 2 years and be resigned with someone at the league minimum or slightly above.

Cool - thx for the update guys.

So anyone know if/how I can get my old account back?
