OT: Need a new job

Post#1 » by Lazy Faizy » Thu Aug 21, 2008 6:05 am

Anyone know of any good places hiring in the Houston/Galleria/Downtown/Sugarland areas? The place I work at right now (Express) is cutting hours like crazy, so I need a second job preferably between 30-40 hrs a week. Also preferably an office-type job, but I can do retail also, or a "phone" job, such as a call center or something... as long as its minimum 25 hrs a week and $8 an hr.

help please!

Um, so your age, experience, and education level is going to influence what you should be looking at a lot.

What's your major? If you're in school of management, how about an internship? Well, it's too late now but maybe next year.

What TMU said. Get a leg up instead of wasting your time, just be careful when you pick your internship because you could easily end up working there for a few years afterward.

ANYTHING is better than retail.

Target then? Hahaha My brother did an internship there and is now a manager. They supposedly have decent benefits and wages. Are you a business major b/c he's getting his MBA, hence the management position and if you're gonna be a dentist...maybe it's time to move into the field you wanna go into. You're already 21.

Is 8$ an hour a lot? I am younger than you and earn 13$ an hour. Being a legal citizen rocks!

Do monster searches. I hear those massage places they always want people working the 11:00 PM-4:00 AM shift. They prefer if you look feminine, but if not, they also accept trannies. Having a clean sexual history is a must. I am just saying.

Yeah that was Noam Chomsky. I feel like such a dishonor to have him as my avatar, because during the offseason, usually it is very low traffic, and high goofing around by the 5,000+ posts posters. Once we get the season started again, it will likely return.

Noam Chomsky rocks.
