Top 507. Yao Ming, Houston: All indications are that Yao will bounce back fine from the stress fracture in his left foot. If he does, he goes right back to being one of the most dominant big men in the NBA.
16. Tracy McGrady, Houston: When he's good, he's good. When he's not good, it's usually because he's hurt. Injuries, ailments, aches and pains are the story with McGrady, and everybody knows it. If he can play 70-plus, it's all good.
50. Ron Artest, Houston: He's a top 15 talent, with little history of success. Interestingly, his on-court issue -- dominating the ball -- will likely be more of a problem than anything that happens off the court.
What do you think?

I found a nifty site?
I think the site is
http://www.whatifsports.com/nba-l/historical_teams.asp and shows historical salary data?
Since you never do anything but ask thread-beginning questions can I respond to you without using a statement?

?

Artest at 50 is what I have issues with. Yao is a top 10 player for sure. McGrady is still a top 20 player even though he had a tough year last year....but Artest is a top 30 player in this league. I dunno how people just forget this guy is the best two-way player the NBA has to offer.

T-mac is still better than Yao

How is Oden ranked that high when he hasnt even played an NBA game?
Artest got snubbed.

yeah, artest is pretty underrated according to this list. i love that though. i mean come on, kevin martin at 49? were they trying to be funny? everyone knows artest was the best player on the kings last year.

Seems like centers were overvalued in that entire list
You sure this isn't a fantasy ranking list
Bynum @ 17?
Shaq @ 21?
Oden listed at all?
I'd even argue Bosh might be a tad too high.

Too high: Stoudemire, Bosh, Bynum, Shaq, Oden, Odom
Too low: Artest, Wade, Tony Parker, David West

I can't stand how Oden gets so much credit when he hasn't even played a second in the NBA. I understand the hype as the sky could be the limit for Oden, but you have to earn everything you get in this league and Oden hasn't paid his dues.
