The raptors unveiled black alternate uniforms for this upcoming year. I thought the color black was being blocked by the nba? However, for whatever reason, the Raptors are able to get it? They seem to change their unis every year it seems. There is no reason why the Rockets cant get alternates? Why is it taking them so long to come out with alternates, this franchise has never had alternates! Anybody with any inside information on this?

Cuz we are actually a good team.

Maybe our organziation doesn't even want to get alternates , I never heard that they do.

teams like toronto will have to do this. its a publicity thing. "hey, the raptors wont be that good this year, but come check out our cool black unis!" we're fine the way we are.

The Raps got Jermaine to team with Bosh. That's all the publicity they need. The cool black unis drive merchandise sales, not necessarily ticket sales.

We've never had alternates before why start now?


Just be thankful we've got one of the most kick as s retro jerseys in the league with the Ketchup and Mustard color scheme.

Cause we actually play basketball properly. rockets represent the nba, toronto represents burnt ****.

I don't think we need alternatives, we just need some new jerseys in general, I say we go back to the championship jerseys, those were pretty baller.

why black? black is not one of our colors?
throughout the Rockets franchise our primary color is RED (well we switched to navy blue for a short while)
our secondary color has been yellow and now silver
silver jersey is ugly
we don't need a black one
a good one would be bring back yellow as our secondary color instead of silver

I agree.

Those jerseys are "Classic." We should have never got rid of them.

Lets go RETRO !!

We'll never be able to use the retro jerseys. However, the front office should come up with a design that resembles those old jerseys.

We dont need any alternates. I like our current set we have now. The old school ones are pretty whack IMO, except the ones we wore in 1993.

They played in red and yellow unis during McGrady's 1st season in Houston that looked pretty clean.
These in fact. My favorite jerseys ever.

i loved those old navy ones with the pinstripes, now they were awesome!! could be not get something like them as our alternates?? despite the fact a couple teams have gone back to the pinstripes this year (new orleans, orlando)
