Calm Down Rockets Fans
Hell, I am not even a Rockets fan and I am very dissapointed in the way some of you are reacting to the team's recent struggles. This team is on it's way to a victory tonight which will leave them at 4-2.
Let's go over some things:
They lost to the world champs and despite piss poor performance by Yao, they had a shot at winning the game.
They lost to a Portland team that has been very good at home, and despite another piss poor performance by Yao, it took a miraculous shot by Roy to lose the game.
Tonight, all 3 stars are struggling, yet it looks like they are about to win. It doesn't matter if the Clippers suck. They are an NBA team and they are at home.
The Rockets have many things to look forward to, Battier will be back, they still need to adjust to each other....and most importantly, when the hell was the last time the Rockets had a good start to the season? They always struggle at first. This team will be fine, give it some time.
Yao is not trash, McGrady is not washed up, and Artest is not a bad defender. Alston will pick up his shooting.
As bad as things have been, you are still not behind any of the division rivals.
It is still early, and despite the poor play, you are still(should be) 4-2. Give the team some time, they will get better.

You answered your own question. We looked worst tonight than we have in the last 2 games. We just played poor team.

Yes, but a win is a win in the NBA..especially on the road.
Iggy, what question did I answer? Not being sarcastic, just don't know what you meant since I didn't ask a question.

Agreed, some people need to chill out. We're playing poorly as a team as of now and I can understand the frustration.... but enough is enough. Seriously, ppl just overreact and go overboard on things. The mood in here is doom and gloom 24/7.

You did answer your own question. We never had a good start, but with the acquisition of Artest, our fans have high expectations for this team. Our goal is to win a championship and we must finish Top 3 just to get out of the first round.
LOL
As bad as you guys have been, you are still on top of the division. The Spurs and Mavs will strruggle and the Hornets have not looked too good either

LOL I dunno.
But TMU said it. There are high expectations here. Because of Artest we know we should be better but what we are seeing is that you plug the all important 3rd scorer hole and you see another hole in rebounding and size pop up.
We all expected this to be a tough first month. But it would be easier to deal with what is happening if it was just the offense. But it isn't. The offense is bad...and a good reason as to why we are playing poorly...we can't get a good lead on teams and we let em hang around and it comes back to bite us. But the rebounding..the lack of size have been the biggest things.
It just frustrating as a fan when you think you have it. When you feel as if..if you have a healthy season you can win a championship only to realize that you still lack a few key pillars needed like toughness and rebounding from the front line.
I don't think its doom and gloom...I think its just frustration. I know I am frustrated watching this team on a nightly basis. If we rebounded..if we out toughed teams in the paint but struggled offensively I would be good...even if our record was 4-2 as it is now. Because I would know that the offense would get there and Artest would be incorporated. But its more than just offense.
Its McGrady's determination or lack there of. Its Yao's inability to be effective when teams get physical. Its our lack of size which in turn leads to bad rebounding. I mean we plug that 3rd scorer hole and we all of a sudden find more flaws....and thats the frustrating and hair pulling thing around here.

Re: Calm Down Rockets Fans
The only reason why i am mad is because we need to be a tough team and we are not showing it. Take Yao for example, he has to be more tough in the post. But you cant tell a person to chill out just because a person is frustrated.

Re: Calm Down Rockets Fans
6 out of 82 games have been played...
Battier is not back yet.
Our "big three" is still adjusting to each other.
Our coach is working in more to the offense from last year.
In 6 games we are 2 games ABOVE .500 despite sluggish play from the stars.
RELAX!!!!!!!!!!! Give it til December AT LEAST before you start panicking.

Again...Adelman said...give him about a month to set up his offensive scheme, find the perfect rotation, and find the perfect way to fit Battier in. Don't be surprised if this team is still floating 2-3 games above .500 at the end of this month.

We get through this month at .500 and we'll be GTG. Schedule is remarkably easier after this month, and with any new mix there will be a period of adjustment. Nothing to worry about.

Who's complaining, besides the usual suspects? The people complaining now are ALWAYS complaining about something. Hell, they were probably b****ing and moaning during our 22 game streak.

And one more thing guys. We paniced last season when our team struggled, but as the season moved along we played well and eventually played well. Give it some time guys.

Rockets fans, don't be sad, I think you guys are doing perfect. Yes, T-Mac seems soft and ****, but this is why you guys have Yao and Artest there.
And you guys won games on the road. The Portland game was a exception. Miracle shot happens. So I guess you guys don't have to go panic and ****.

This is the post of a loser. The type of guy that just satisfied with 22 game win streaks and making the playoffs when the end goal is winning a championship. Step your fandom up. This isn't about nice regular seasons...this is about a championship...and the people like myself that complain look at the big picture not fluky win streaks.
