I'm having second thoughts about Artest.. But I'm saying what if.. The only other big powerful wing player other than the Holy Grail (LBJ) that I can think of that might be better than Artest for this team is Caron Butler... He's a bit younger and has way more lift than Artest... a decent defender and gets those steals as well... overall Caron Butler > Ron Artest? What do you guys think?

Caron is better overall imo , but we can't get him.

We gave scraps to get Artest, Getting Caron would have taken Battier at least and even that is hard to imagine Washington taking

Caron is a better player overall, and I'd say it has to involve Battier IMO.

Joking though, it will be hard for us to get Butler.

Butler/Etan Thomas/Songaila for Artest/Scola/Hayes

^Eh,that's not really that bad. I personally would want to switch out Hayes for Head or Wafer or something, but that is definitely something I could see the Rockets doing, especially if MANDRY starts balling like last year.

I don't understand why anyone is having second thoughts about Artest. Makes no sense to me. Its been 7 games. It'll take a lot longer than that to be putting up 18-20 points nightly and shooting well. He isn't getting the ball in his spots. Right now he is getting it behind the 3 point line where he has create for himself and thats just not his thing. He isn't gonna successfully put it on the floor from that far out and get to the basket. So the takes a 3.

I think there are certain things to worry about on this team. Artest isn't one of em.

id still go for artest.

artest > caron IMO

Artest is always something to worry about Iggy...it's just that as of right now Yao/T-Mac and the defense are much more worrisome.

I'd love to have Caron though, even if it will never happen.

On the basketball court, Caron isn't much of an improvement over Artest. Plus, Caron's much more expensive than Artest.
