Ron's probably already Team Captain.

Ron's credentials and playing ability have already enabled him supercede and probably be a vocal leader on this court. I like how he called out Yao on not shooting those jumpers and sky hooks against the Hornet. What do you all think?

Yeah, he also attempts the most shots on the team.....though that's not a good thing, lol.

Last I heard McGrady was still team captain. Ron IMO is walking on egg shells right now. When he doesn't anymore...I think I agree. He has maybe that natural ability to lead. The problem is though....do we want to go where Artest is leading us? Do we even know where that is?

not that this is related to him being a team captain or anything..but i went to the game versus the hornets last night, and i saw artest leaving the garage in his BMW at at least 50 mph and accelerating with no headlights on. is he still crazy??

This is really good quote by Artest that just illustrates what other players think is going with Houston...but then actually come here and see something else...I think they are surprised that McGrady and Yao aren't the leaders they should be.
“It’s going to be important definitely for Yao and Mac, the leaders, that when times like that come, when we’re up against good teams on the road, we’ve got to find a way. … And everybody else has to follow, and everybody else is not going to have an excuse to blow big leads like that.”
As for being a leader himself?
“Everybody has input,” Artest said. “Chuck (Hayes) has input, Rafer (Alston) has input. But obviously, (players) follow Michael Jordan, they follow Shaquille O’Neal, they follow Tim Duncan. They didn’t really follow Steve Kerr.”

You're not a regular on here and I don't know if I could take your word for it. That's not a good sign if that actually happened.

First off, he probably has a bad ass bmw that has auto on/off lights (even my crappy car has it). And if it's lit in the garage they wouldn't have come on yet. Secondly, I speed all the time, as well as everyone else I know, so this isn't really a big deal. But then again, I have been known to be a lil "crazy" at times. =/

he is, since T-Mac is beign soft again and again.
Yao is not talking, so Artest just has to step up, but this is a sad thing to happen.
