Rockets Board Idea

I think we should all meet in a chatroom for every game for the rest of the season. I'm not very superstitious, but I think it'll maybe help us at the end of games, lol... Anyone know any good place? I think it's good if we can discuss the game while the game is going on, instead of the game thread itself. Anyone else feeling me? Can we at least try it for ONE game?

Yeah. That one site that shows games online also has like a chatroom/board right next to the game. I think it's a good idea except sometimes the other team's fans get on and it becomes a shouting match. If we could make it exclusive to rocket's fans or have a mod ban rival fans instantly, I think it would be a great idea. How much IT work that would take, I have no idea.

Use pidgin, trillian or other clients that use the same networks such as aim/yahoo/msn. Otherwise, you could do google talk, or anything over jabber or silc will also work.

If you wanna get old school, any irc channel will also do as well.

Aim? MSN? If you want chatrooms, those things are for pansies.

Check this out: http://www.stinto.net/

You're welcome.

Either way, I mean an IRC chat or a temp chat is BEST IMO. Up to yall, but one of yall should create one for the Clippers game and then ask who ever makes the game thread for that game to post the link to the chatroom on his post.

Eh. Your idea. You do it.

I'm never around a computer while watching the games anyway.

I helped you find the resource you're looking for.

As I said, I'm not around the computer around game time, so I won't be involved in any game chat.

Sorry?

Both are good platforms. I used Trillian for years, but since I've made the switch to digsby I haven't regretted the move. Can't beat the social network integration.

BTW, another one to lookout for is http://www.voxox.com/.

It's still in beta, but it looks like it will do all of what digsby does, plus skype. Check out the website for more details. If you use it, let me know what you thought of it.

Oh, and don't forget about pidgin. Yeah it's old, but it's open source. I have a lot of friends who swear by it, but I haven't been able to really get into it.

Ah, thanks for the info. I've been looking for an IM aggregation but haven't really looked at everything that's available. This will make my decision a lot easier. :D
