It's been announced by some major Chinese websites that former Houston Rockets star Bonzi Wells agrees to sign a short contract with Shanxi ZhongYu yesterday. Chinese club going to pay him around 80k USD per month for his service.

tbh, I wouldnt mind him taking Head's spot, IF he is in shape. But, I think he will go and be a beast in china like Harris was.

why weren't anyone interested in giving him vets minimum or the midlevel? He was pretty good for Rockets and Hornets.

80k per month, lets say NBA season lasts 7 month, its total of 560k/yr. I'll take Bonzi's 560k/yr over Luther Head's 2mil.

Come on, Bonzi looked great on the web news. He just wants to get some action, keep from rusting like sprewell and all. He will absolutely do great in CBA but then he doesnt really belong there.

I remembered I made a thread saying we need toughness on our team and Bonzi would be a good fit and you guys laughed.

What's the source for Bonzi's 48 points 11 rebounds and 7 steals? If that's the case Bonzi should be getting pretty bored and feel like he made the wrong choice. There's only so much dignity a true baller can take when they realize the competition isn't good enough to play against. I hope Bonzi at least tries Europe or South America next time if he can't get back into the league.
