Minny starting Craig Smith gives Yao a break from guarding Al Jefferson, who simply ate Yao for lunch last year. If McHale thinks that he needs the extra big and keeps Smith or Jason Collins in there rather than putting Ryan Gomes at PF and challenging Yao to guard Jefferson, I will be very glad. Also Mike Miller is no defender which combined with the soft interior defense of the Timberwolves means McGrady should find little resistance.

Craig Smith drops 30 but the T-Wolves lose.

We have a tendency to play down to the competition. Hopefully we'll pull off the win tomorrow. We need a top 3 seed in the playoff!!

Nice game thread as usual Max. We should be careful in this game. Al Jefferson is a solid player who could give Yao fits rebounding the ball, and we all know Mike Miller can light it up and if we are not careful he might go crazy. Randy Foye is a good player, and I am looking forward to the Foye/Brooks matchup. Foye has been struggling lately though. First chance to see Kevin Love. If we outrebound the T-Wolves we should come out with a win.

I disagree. Foye and Felton are two of the biggest garbage-stat-putting starters in the league.

Our offense has been fine.

Its our defense that needs work. How can we continue to let teams shoot like 60% in 1 QTR.

Defense, look at clevaland and Boston, those 2 teams are committed to defense for 4 qtr's, Rockets save it for the 2nd half, which tends to keep the game close till the end.

true and by doing that we let bad teams hang around, seeing light of winning game and put ourselves in grave disadvantage towards the end of games. crap

Can't underestimate this team, Jefferson dominated us last season and they have other capable players like Miller, Love and others. If we come up with the defensive effort we did last night, we'll probably lose.

Von Wafer goes 20-21 from 3. Scores 60 pts and the game winner in triple overtime.

(How ridiculous can I make these predictions until someone calls me out?)

Dude we are playing the Wolves , I doubt the game goes triple overtime.

Is that so? I could have sworn he was in uniform against the Kings last night. Maybe I was blind or something.

Yao just got toasted twice. That dunk by Jefferson was nasty.
