Around the NBA Thread

Post#1 » by A.J. » Thu Dec 25, 2008 3:56 pm

I've noticed on other team boards that they have Around the League threads to discuss topics with other teams on a daily basis. I see no reason not to have one here for each season.

P.S. Can a mod sticky this please?

I'll start it off.

What are you guy's top 8 teams from each conference?

East

1. Celtics
2. Cavs
3. Magic
4. Hawks
5. Pistons
6. Heat
7. Nets
8. Bulls

*The battle for he eighth is going to be tough in the East.

West

1. Lakers
2. Hornets
3. Rockets
4. Spurs
5. Nuggets
6. Blazers
7. Jazz
8. Suns

9 teams will be in the race

Yep..I hope they don't take out their frustrations on us. At least we move up to the 2nd seed, and the Spurs are losing at halftime too.

Damn, Roger Mason at the buzzer drains the three for the win. What a shot.

Yeah that was a nasty shot. For some reason the Spurs own the Suns, lol.

I wasn't able to listen to JVG because I was at the game.
JVG is my favorite in-game analyst and he always has something interesting to talk about.
Did he say anything that caught your attention? Did he say anything about the Rockets? I know he likes to give a shoutout to the Houston Rockets even when he isn't covering a Rockets game.

Yes, as a matter of fact he did. He said the Lakers, Celtics, Cavs, and Rockets all have a shot at winning it all.

There was more to it than that, he predicted the Rockets would beat the Lakers in the WCF right before the tip....I honestly wish he hadn't said that....

Hard to disagree with JVG under one condition: McGrady with some hormones. Unless the rest of our roster adapts to playing without McGrady, this team has absolutely no shot in the playoffs. So it's either McGrady playing like his old-self or the rest of the team picking up his slack.
