Big deal. **** the 22-game win streak. I can't believe some of you rooted for the Lakers. LA is our conference rival NOT Boston.

dude, it's not that we root for LA, it's about getting the satisfaction of seeing those snobish and spoiled celtics guys step down, moaning groaning and all. it's about laughing at the failure to attain better achivement by the darling of david stern. it's about disliking the celtics, not about loving the lakers.

lol I did root for LA this game. we have the rest of the year to try and catch up to them. I didn't want those douches in Boston to have the satisfaction of surpassing our streak.

It doesn't matter if you like the Lakers and dislike the Celtics or vice versa.

Rule #1: don't root for your rival.
Rule #2: don't root for your rival.
Rule #3: don't root for your rival.

So screw LAL and the rest of the non-Rockets teams from the Western Conference. Any team that gets in our way must be crushed...

The Lakers are in our conference, the Celtics aren't. Our playoffs seed depends not only on our own record but also on Lakers' record. Maybe I'm using the word "rival" in a loose manner, but the Celtics are not the threat the Lakers are.

While TMU is right; I believe some of you guys like me are simply sick of the Celtics and their arrogance. They get away with too much trash, and whatever happened to KG? He used to be one of the best sportsmen in the game, now hes suddenly turned into one of the biggest douchebags in the league, and hes doing it with pure arrogance. Paul Pierce, not has he always been a punk, but with that finals MVP trophy and ring around his finger, he thinks hes some kind of god. I like the aggressive attitude and all, but its getting out of hand, and I don't understand how they're allowed to say whatever is one their mind, it clearly isn't fair to the rest of the league, nor does it show good sportsmen like conduct. I rooted for the Lakers, I'm liking them as an overall team, and they have been a fabulous team, the fans have been really classy, and overall the Celtics fan-base overall IMO is as bad as Utah's. I've just been sick of the arrogance and style of play, just shows terrible characteristics.

I can put my conference rival aside for one game. That 22 game win streak is special to this franchise, to our fans and I don't want Boston ruining that...especially half a year after it happened.

Yeah we should root against the Lakers, but I'm more worried about winning our division first and then we can set our sights on the bigger picture.

Was it the Celtics who ended Rockets' 22 win streaks last season?

Yeah but guys are rooting for the Lakers because we feel like we have no chance to catch them anyways , and we hate Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett.

I loved the streak as much as the next Rockets fan, but even if someone passes 22, they'll still only have the second best win streak. Awesome feat, for sure, but that is like putting all of the focus on passing Babe Ruth's HR mark when you should be aiming for Hank Aaron.
