Now, who says Tracy McGrady isn't a leader?

He quit on Friday. The Rockets followed.

There was a lot of surrender, albeit in different forms, wherever you looked. In their own ways, Ron Artest and Yao Ming gave in, too. But McGrady's quit came in the form of a lack of effort and that impacts everyone.

Everything looks worse when the shots don't go in and it did not help that Luther Head, Carl Landry, Aaron Brooks and Brent Barry went a combined 3-of-26.

They, however, are not the problem. They can make things better or worse, but with the Rockets, problems and solutions, success and failure begin with Yao, Artest and especially McGrady.

Artest quit on the Rockets' offense. He was completely out of control, running his own offense while everyone else had to stop and watch. His only way to succeed was to catch and shoot 3s. Other than that, he missed all four of his shots inside the 3-point arc and had six turnovers in 24 minutes.

Go figure again...

What he needs to do is, come to Atlanta and put all this bull behind him, its time for a change; and if he wants to prove these guys wrong, hes going to have to pull out an awesome performance out of his ass.

this is not the 1st time t-mac hasnt given 100% effort. in fact, id say he only gives 100% effort maybe 4 games out of an 82 game season.

Guys, hes at blame here no doubt; but some of these guys are playing like SUPERSTARS to make this team any better. Luther Head, Carl Landry, Aaron Brooks and Brent Barry went a combined 3-of-26, Yao struggles, and its just their are flaws with this team (one of them is relying on the 3 pt shoot a little too much).

The team is not built around them...

And Yao atleast tries, do you understand how hard he fights in the paint? Look at him during the game they are beatin him up (I am no Yao fan.)

Yao and Artest had poor games, McGrady looked like a complete scrub. It used to be that if McGrady didn't try, he'd still produce say 15/6/7 on 40% shooting and that may be good enough for a win and it would be tolerable. Now McGrady's skills have diminished and if he doesn't try we get 4 point efforts.

Let's be honest with ourselves, if we replaced the name "Tracy McGrady" with "Luther Head" on yesterday's boxscore we would be disappointed with Head's performance. Since it is clear that McGrady's skills have diminished, we need to see energy and effort for him to produce enough to win games. He is not at a state where he can produce without trying.

Truest statement I have heard in a while.

Let's not even talk about Luther head anymore. That dude has no reason being in this league. He kills us by shooting the ball so much. I'd rather have barry out there shooting b/c he at least tries on defense, even though they both suck. Head should have left to go to memphis too and let wafer, barry take his place.
