Picture if Houston got Yi for Tmac

Think about this trade idea.

Tmac and Hayes
(Mcgrady back with his cousin Carter)

for

Yi, Simmons, Swift
(Yao and Yi are together)

LOL no...

I can't even laugh at this it's so bad

The funny part about this is that Yi and his agents would flip sh*t over this trade because then his marketability takes a huge hit because he is in Yao's shadow.

i'll rather trade T-Mac for Starbury

And then Von Wafer for Sun Yue.

I like the idea if T-Mac gets paired with Lebron or Kobe, that would be awesome. Although its tough to gauge T-Mac's value you just have hope he gets healthy,Yao/T-Mac combo have sure has been a bust just because of injuries/conditioning.

Of course I'm not going to argue T-Mac is the better player for philly, but will T-Mac ever be healthy? A healthy reliable Igoudala, is better for a team then in-out T-Mac even he is way better. Although of course I'd take a healthy T-Mac over Iggy any day. Either way Houston would not be comfortable with the deal.

Tmac's done..but you can get more than that for him.

Pairing up Yi with Yao would increase his marketability, not decrease. Nobody except the Chinese follows or cares about Yi. Casual fans know about Yao and have never heard of Yi. Pairing those two together will get people talking.

Plus, the Nets have relatively few fans...and I'm sure more fans attend Houston's road games than NJ's road games.

What do we need Yi for, at the worst, McGrady provides hope for a chance to takes this team to another level, while Yi just provides a PF glut, and poor defense. Hmm, maybe this is a good trade, expectations would be much less

And I'll repeat for the 1,000,000th time, trading McGrady at this point in time is too unrealistic.

I would take Devin Harris and Yi for McGrady, Scola and Brooks any day. Or McGrady for Iguodala any day.

Unfortunately for the Rockets those aren't the offers they are getting or will get once they start seeking trades. They are getting offers of Willie Green and fillers for McGrady and Sean Williams and Bobby Simmons for McGrady.

Mcgrady's value is at an all time low. We can't trade him.

Yup, It doesn't help that we bash him all the time and everyone in the league knows a lot of people don't want him on the team. They think they can run all over us and low-ball the $hit out of us. Well, I don't think the management is that dumb, and I'd rather let his corpse rot on the bench til 2010. No way 76ers give AI and NJ would kill to give up Yi, but I'm pretty sure our guys wouldnt do it. All I ask for is a serviceable G and PF/C. Can't think of many/any teams that meet that criteria.
