Tmacs days as an allstar are over. He didn't deserve to make it this year anyway.

For those who believe in NBA conspiracy theories, that makes 2 straight yrs T-Mac lead in the last public totals only come up short in the final tally, when players the League wanted to promote were losing out(Roy and Paul). Of Note 2 yrs ago Yao got 2.7mil votes, last yr 1.7mil,w/no ther C getting more than a couple hundred thou. Also note Yi's disappearing lead.
The NBA has stated they don't count the Chinese vote like they do other votes. All they have to do is weigh Chinese votes even lower, and Ta-Da!,T-Mac out,a spot for Roy last yr and a starting spot for Paul this yr. Just saying.
Penny Hardaway was voted in as a starter a decade ago even tho he missed the first half of the season. He went and played in the All-Star Game.

I agree, I think the voting is rigged. Chris Paul had 1.2 million votes few weeks ago (4th return), but now look how many votes he has.

Yea the voting is definitely rigged but rigged in a good way IMO. Players that don't deserve to start shouldn't be starting and the I think the rigging part of the voting comes into play in that regard. McGrady doesn't deserve to go and he isn't. Yao deserves to go. And he is.

Yao goes every year and when he goes he has to participate in festivities and community service. He goes every year but this year we are contenders. He needs to reject the offer and stay in Houston with the team so they can practice, rest, and be amongst themselves. We can contend for a championship this year and the ALL-Star Weekend is just Santa Claus stuff... I hope somebody talks to Yao about this...

He would take major **** from the NBA if he were healthy and refused to show up to All-Star weekend. Remember Kobe had to make a 3 minute cameo in the game even though he was injured. Basically, if you can play in the games leading up to the ASG, and the games after the ASG, you must play in the ASG. Is skipping the ASG worth the equivalent of a few games' suspension? I think not.
