*UPDATE: Mac out tonight* Mcgrady leaves practive

Post#1 » by tmacformvp07 » Fri Jan 30, 2009 9:00 pm

The Rockets' run of relatively good health could be over after one game.

Tracy McGrady left Friday's practice with a sprained left ankle. The injury is not considered serious, with McGrady listed as "a game-time decision" to play Saturday against the Golden State Warriors.

Wednesday's game was just the third this season with the Rockets' planned rotation available and was the first time McGrady, Yao Ming, Ron Artest and Shane Battier played in the same game this month.

"Oh man, if it ain't one thing it's another," McGrady said. "Right now, it's hard to tell with these things. High ankle sprain. We'll see how I feel in the morning. What can you do? I think this isn't something that's going to keep me out of the lineup for multiple games. We'll make a decision tomorrow.

"It's just frustrating. Practice was going so well. I was getting out there and going at it, one of the few practices I was able to practice and go at it for the whole practice and I got 300-something pounds land on my ankle."

McGrady said Yao Ming stepped on his left ankle as he turned to head down court following a rebound.

"It's painful," McGrady said. "It's hard to walk on it, put a lot of pressure on it. I never had a high ankle sprain. I started feeling good with my knee and going to practice and I got an ankle sprain. I'll be all right."

Great.

High ankle sprains can be very very serious, sometimes taking several months or even more to heal... The fact that he said he can barely walk on it is not a good sign.

Elston Turner didn't see concerened at all , anyway I would rather sit him and let it heal completly.
I don't want it to drag for over a month like Artest.

We need so cintinuty now and build chemsitry but even though we lost the last game , Artest and Mcgrady played within the offense for the first 3 quarters , Mcgrady is gaining his form from last season and I believe we will be veyr good eventually.

How good we will onky see in the playoffs.

We just need some luck but it seems like we will never cacth a break.

On a positive note, this means we will see more of Von Wafer.

If Tmac wants 2 weeks off, i'm ok with that.

Von would have hit that three pointer in the last game
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

Ha, stupid things like this shows why we haven't been out of the first round in over a decade, despite having a top talent, it's a disgrace to Hakeem, Clyde, and Barkley (1997) who were doing things at the age of 34+ where our 2 current best players can't even stay healthy despite being 5-6 years younger.

I don't know if I can take this anymore, this is getting to my head, I'm seriously tired of all this, we're too fragile, lack mentality, have been poor defensively and not improved offensively. TMU if you decide to shoot yourself, shoot me first.

What else is new. I do think McGrady is under a lot of pressure to play though. Even if he misses this one I doubt he misses the following game.

Well if Iggy is right, McGrady did miss the game against Golden State last year when the streak started ;)
