Excellent Article On Yao Ming.

First off, this is to all you nuthuggers that waive Yao's stats to me to show me he had a good game.
http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/9242 ... -re-launch?
Watching how Yao is so slow off his feet and so slow with the ball, it's hard to believe that his leg miseries have fully healed. For sure he has a variety of moves in the pivot, but he mainly relied on his jump hook. Yao executed nary a spin move, air-balled an open 15-footer from the right baseline, and suffered the indignity of having Ryan Hollins block one of his low-release turnaround jumpers.
Yao did fill up the stat sheet — 8-16, 13 rebounds, 2 blocks, 22 points. But double-teams — especially those that eventuated after he'd put the ball on the floor — sent Yao into mild panics and resulted in a flurry of misdribbles and faulty passes. In all he registered six turnovers and zero assists.
Whenever the Mavs needed a score, they ran S/Rs that involved whomever Yao happened to be guarding. They ran 11 of these and got an open shot every single time (making seven), simply because Yao was both reluctant and incapable of establishing any kind of defensive presence beyond the shadow of the basket.Still, with T-Mac out of action, Yao becomes the Rockets' primary target on offense. Which is why he had such a huge number of touches (32) when Houston had possession.
But the increased involvement will necessarily lead to increased body contact. And with various injuries having already caused
Yao to miss more than a season's worth of games (86 to be exact) over the past three seasons, the question of his health looms as a larger issue than ever before.

Stop being a troll. Everyone can see that you're just trying to get the Yao fanboys all riled up.
You're annoying go away.

How the hell am i being annoying or a troll? I'm trying to prove a point. Waiving Yao's stats in the air does no good. Yao played like close to crap but i thought his defense was better than normal, unfortunately even that is bad.

I don't know what game you watched.... Yao was fine.
Take your crap to clutchfans or something. Nobody here wants to see a hundred threads about Yao vs Tmac or whatever it is you parasites like to talk about.

And what is your point exactly? I thought Yao had an 'ok' game. But again I don't exactly see what your point in all of this is.
And Charlie Rosen is quite possibly one of the worst analysts I've ever read (does anybody take him seriously?). And I'm not talking about his general negative tone either but more the fact that he likes to analyze single games and generalize players based on that single game which is beyond foolish.

He's a TOF who is searching for any scraps he can find to make Yao look bad and thus by extension make his man look good, even to the point of saying that Scola is a better player than Yao.
Honestly he's badly lost his touch. All he has are Charlie Rosen articles and wild statements that Scola is better than Yao.

Charlie Rosen is the worst journalist out there. I don't understand why he writes so many articles regarding the Rockets when he can't say one positive thing about the team. To me it is clear that the guy writes an agenda.
You should take his articles with a grain of salt.

YA they ran S/R so much they won the game.... Opps Rockets Won.
My favorite from Charlie Rosen
http://espn.go.com/page2/s/rosen/030227.htmlLet me save you time....
note to long-suffering Cavaliers' fans: Don't get caught in the LeBron James pipe dream. The best King James can ever be is an average NBA player.
Yes Charlie Rosen is Sook's Bible.

This article is on the Rockets not just Yao. And he is right. That article is dead on based on last nights game. The only flaw you can find with what he said is that everything he said is based on one game.
No where did he say Yao couldn't carry this team. He said Yao has to stay healthy so I dunno where the Yao hate is coming from b/c Rosen didn't hate on Yao. He pointed out how Yao doesn't defend pick and rolls (something that has to change for our defense to be as good as it was in the past) and he pointed out that Yao was slow and clumsy...which he is. But he also pointed how how great of low post player Yao is. All true things about Yao.
The main thing I am worried about is our pick and roll D. Yao has to make up his mind to step up or teams will always get open 17 footers when they run it.

Excuse me, i think we are referring to how Charlie Rosen is an idiot and he has plenty of articles that are down right stupid. I will never take Charlie Rosen's article with a grain of salt because he is a horrible. He clowned Amare, Dwight, Lebron and the list goes on.
BTW Sooks, I see you got Clowned at Clutch. lol

I never expected you to like the article pumpkin, and what are you talking about? Clowned? I got banned 6 months ago, and don't pop your boner all of a sudden. It didn't have anything to do with Yao Ming.

I don't know how one can think the article is "excellent" when it's written by Charlie Rosen, the most idiotic "writer" out there. Please.. he spew hate on every articles, especially if it's involve either Rockets or Magic. He waits until the player/team he don't like have a bad game and then write about it, using that only game as his basis. He's (Please Use More Appropriate Word), how he still have a job is beyond me.

Sure Sure, gotcha we believe you because apparently you know more about the game based on non-statistical information. You can't be wrong.
I mean lets look at your past statements
Battier AKA the new Ryan Bowem, perhaps worse
I suggest you read this
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/02/15/magaz%20...%20wanted=allI think Yao's stats mask his true performance. Defensively though, THIS WAS ONE OF HIS BEST I'VE EVER SEEN. .
On Mav's game, but yet you want to bring up an excellent article on how Charlie comments on Yao's Pick and Roll defense and how Slowwwww he is.
trading him for amare + picks is the best option at this point.
I guess Amare plays better defense than Yao all the time and Amare is a monster rebounder. lol
I'm still hurt the rockets drafted this big oaf.
quite clear you don't like Yao, how can we expect you to be positive. lol
i think its clear we ARE BETTER WITHOUT MCGRADY at this point.
lol i guess Yao can't lead us, must be Luther Head, no wait Chuck Hayes, maybe Shane (but he is as good as Ryan Bowen), wait its Scola (because he is our most consistent player according to you) (and I love Scola but I know he isn't consistent.)
Whatever, hard to take you seriously.

I'd think it would make him a top notch reference for several posters on this board though.

I did like this little tidbit from Rosen's article:
"Why is Pat Riley hanging on? Because if he lasts one more season after this, his contract calls for his being rewarded with 20 percent of the team! That can buy Riley all the Brylcreem he'll ever need."

Okay, you could say the same of Shaq, whose weakness on the P&R defense has be exposed by good teams many times throughout his career, but does that discredit his 4 championships? His hall of fame career?
I'll be the first to admit Yao's shortcomings, but he also brings a lot to the table. You like to focus on his deficiencies, sook, which makes you a hater.
I hate on tracy b/c he's given up on my team....the day yao or anyone else does the same to the Rox, I'll be in the front bashing on that player. There's a difference....

First off, i agree with your last statement. Tracy is pathetic and I'm glad he won't be coming back and Yao has great character and is an example others should follow. But, you can trace all my posts on Clutch over the years, i haven't hated on Yao. I'm just getting tired of the recurring failures this team keeps experiencing, and quite frankly it starts with our Franchise Player.
