I'll reserve judgement until after I see him play with us.. Could be a good addition.

where is he going to get the min?
Artest, Battier, Wafer, Barry already taking all the min at SF/SG

I'm sure Morey will find him minutes if he plans on signing him. He'd most likely cut into Wafer and Barry's minutes.

Not even one of Flights windmills from the freethrow line can cheer me up right now...

Why sign him? Did you see the long stretch at start of 4Q where the Rockets had Brooks,Lowry and Wafer on the floor? Where the PF was Artest? The Rockets have a real need for a wing who's taller than 6'4" so they can rest Battier and Artest.

This guy is going to teach Yao and Scola how to dunk and give them special vertical training techniques.

Personally I'd rather go after Cassell.

Yeah I would've really liked for the rockets to pick up Sam Cassell. I think he could really be useful especially since we have two really young point guards.

it's not time to sign someone who doesn't know the system and crack the rotation
i was hoping when Solomon was traded to Sacramento that they might waive BJax and we can sign him
too bad Udrih is injured now

"D-League's James White Signs 10-day With Houston Rockets

Last week, we voted him as most likely to be called-up, and it seems his time has arrived. James "Flight" White, the 6'7" swingman out of Cincinatti, who was playing with the Anaheim Arsenal of the D-League, has been called-up by the Houston Rockets, taking the place of recently waived Luther Head. In the D-League, White was averaging 26 points and five rebounds, shooting 55% from the field. He was also this years D-League dunk champ.

White, who was the only player in the D-League to have an NBA championship ring (with San Antonio his rookie seasn), is an explosive athlete who has been shooting the ball wel this season. White was formerly known for an attitude problem, but by all accounts, that's been mostly fixed. He can get to the rim and 'D' up, thanks to his long arms and ridiculous athleticism. His consistency isn't quite what it should be, but with his athleticism, I think he can still come off the bench in the NBA and do what's needed, as he won't be relied upon to score the 26 points he's averaging in the D-League. In an interview he recently said "Everybody thinks I have a bad attitude or I'm a bad guy because I show emotion. But that's what fuels me to play, my emotion." Well, I like the emotion and his attitude, by all accounts, seem to have improved tremendously over the past two years. "

Wow, I'm surprised y'all signed him. I like Flight's game, and I'm interested in seeing how he performs for you guys.

I watched White a lot when he was playing in Turkey. And even in a crappy league like ours he wasn't very good. I hope he has improved himself.

Well, he's got length and athleticism, and apparently a mid-range J. He's not going to see huge minutes behind Battier and Artest, but maybe he'll learn a few things defensively and stick.
