I'm going to go ahead and concur with moofybear. I think the only nickname for a Rockets player that is suitable, IMO, is Suga Shane Batttier because it's got a sexy ring to it and he's the greatest player of all time not named Olajuwon.

Some people will never get it, others might, in which case the problem is reduced. Hey! It's possible their target audience is other people who post similarly ill-contrived and mundane insults, in which case I guess they haven't failed after all!

I seriously doubt people use versions of "tmac" to make you laugh or wow you with their creativity/wit. If you want these boards to conform, should we not even use "tmac" anymore? Should we just refer to every player by their proper names? Tracy or McGrady....or Tracy McGrady....only from now on.
