OT:Texans Board
How come no one is checking out the Texans board? The team has a very promising season next year. So far they have signed a dynamic DE to pair up with Mario Williams, in Smith. Also they have signed the Lions QB Orlovsky, we have retained Robinson in a very controversial move by placing the franchise tag on him. We also traded Sage to the Vikings for a 4th round pick.
I look forward to seeing you guys over there.

I'm not really into football either. I'm more of an Oilers fan than Texans (sorry). I still got some of the Oilers stuff.
They signed a Lions player? Didn't Lions went winningless in last season?

We didn't release Robinson thats why it says we retained him.

Re: OT:Texans Board
The Lions did go winningless, but that whole team was wrong and poorly managed, they played QB musical chairs so much it was ridiculous. They only benched Orlovsky because they signed an old and pathetic Culpepper who they thought was going to come back and be as good as he was in his prime. They also signed Drew Henson I believe but he was no good either. The lions have the pieces, they just never played like a team. If they get a steady starting QB :: cough :: Cutler :: cough:: And draft an OT in the first round that is going to be a bad ass offense
I.e. QB-Cutler
OT- Monroe
WR- Calvin Johnson
RB- Rudy Johnson

I stopped watching football when the Oilers left town and I started college.
(It was the same year.)
I haven't watched a single football game since, and I don't really regret it. No, not even superbowl games.

No football of any kind; I waste plenty of time as it is on basketball.
Hell, my wife would probably divorce me if I started following an additional sport.

You also have to remember a lot of "fans" here are T-Mac or Yao fans(god bless the OF'ers) and don't care about other Houston teams because Houston means nothing to them, therefore the Texans and Astros board will always be empty other than the occasional post by you, vator, myself, or our resident Mets fan who shall go unnamed in this post because he is evil.
A.J used to post over there as well but he seems to be missing in action these days. Apparently the Cubs fans must have kidnapped him and be holding him for ransom somewhere until the Astros, err, Longhorns, err, Cougars, errr, Sooners, errr WHATEVER TEAM HE REALLY CHEERS FOR comes to his rescue.

Also, football > other sports.
also tits.

We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

Orlovsky should be just fine as a backup QB. Can he really be any worse than Sage was? Sage probably single-handedly cost us at least 2 games last year(ugh, that Colts game). Orlovsky's numbers really weren't that bad considering the team he played for. I just hope Schaub doesn't end up missing multiple starts again this season because our offense should be pretty damn good.
I'm excited about the addition of Smith. Hopefully he will finally be the guy to play opposite of Mario and help us put more pressure on the QB and force some more turnovers. I can't wait to see what they do in the draft.

That is true as well, you're one of the exceptions baby...but you surely can see what I'm saying, and I am ALWAYS RIGHT.

1.You're not right, the dancing bunny is.
2. I understand what you are saying. I always check up on some teams and my favorite players for football.

...but if the bunny is always right, and I control the bunny, then how many licks does it really take to get to the tootsie roll center of a tootsie pop? You'll never know because that stupid owl cheated and blew it for everyone else.

As far as I recall, that evil Mets fan is a tremendous asset to the Astros board. One time, he posted that priceless wall-off HR picture of Prince Albert against that traitor Brad Lidge. I remember all the Astros fans who greatly appreciated it.
Here's a gif of dancing kitties wishing OP great success.

Re: OT:Texans Board
It just takes a few loyal posters to get it going. I suspect if the team really started winning it would really pick up. Just my theory.
I always thought that the Astros board would be the slowest one to get going, but his been the Texans board. The Astros have a few loyal posters...well they were right up until they went into the toilet.
Baseball season is looooooooong.

Go 49ers, hometown team! Football is awesome, I even find football games more entertaining at times than bball, but in general I'd watch a basketball game over football game 9.5/10 times.
Baseball, now that sport is boring...
