Is Yao gonna play? Heard he injured his leg or something.

Let's go Rockets! Yao has a sore ankle. Nothing serious.

Im feeling all those "win" pictures, and I believe if we need Yao he will play. He played in sactown and it was sore then. We might just rest him for playoffs. Looks like Utah will be 7th or 8th.

What is this obession with utah? Boozer is playing horrible and that team is only good at home, and we have given them a run for there money at home anyways which is the only place they play good.
Your telling me because were not playing utah in the first round we dont need home court?? Yao must play the next 2 games we need both of them to gurantee home court

Mike.. We want Yao more healthy for the playoffs.. We can hold our own without him if needed. Would you rather have an injured Yao in the playoffs with HCA, or a relatively healthy Yao without HCA? The decision is easy for me. Plus the other teams would have to win out for us to fall. And we fair well with most other teams, besides Utah.

How long have you been following the Rockets?

I see Yao playing as little as possible, even against Cheapy3 and his Hornets. We're looking at a potential first round opponent here, so I saw rest the big fella and unleash the fury of Mt. Mutumbo on New Orleans!

Yao is going to miss the final 2 games and the rockets are going to get raped and lose HCA.

This team is probably the most cursed team in history

Way to be optimistic.

Its just a blessing in disguise. Mutombo will show his skills once again and we have a beast off the bench in the playoffs. Scola works on his offensive game, and we finally start running more plays for him.

I hope the Hornets win against the Mavericks...

then we have a option of throwing the last game vs the Mavs... just to get either the Hornets or Mavs and avoid the Jazz...

but im thinking LA might just play basically there full roster last game vs the Jazz... make sure they get the Jazz instead of the Hornets or Dallas...

since the Jazz couldnt beat 7 guys who were on a back to back, at home..

the truth is that we are not exactly toothless if Yao decides to rest.
Scola, Brooks and Artest can provide some offensive with the 1st unit. I really think we can create some sets for Scola... that guy is really showing that he can ball like a star-player most of the times.

Landry and Von Wafer can provide the offensive punch when the starters rest.
If Yao decides to rest, we'll lose some offensive punch but i think we can make up for with some defensive intensity. Our team looks really good defensive on paper, it's time to show it; and i hope we will.

It might be fine for the regular season, but the playoff is something different. We need a healthy Yao, therefore I'd like to rest him. Besides, Hornets are in a slump and the chances are good with the second lineup.

We want to rest Yao , but not for one and half weeks without playing the real hardwood game , my perfect solution is that limit Yao to 20-25 mins for the next two games and raise up minutes for Deke and Chuck Hayes.
