Further tests tomorrow. I am not sure what to make of this. I thought he tweaked it and they were using it as an excuse to rest him until the playoffs. But now that they are running tests I am a lot more worried. This team can't catch a break.

Oh and the X-Rays today said he had a bone bruise and is day-to-day which means he won't play until next Saturday when we open up.

Yao is a tough guy...

Yao will play in the playoffs... he has played on alot worse injuries... remember like when he had a fractured foot...... and the numbers he was putting up in the games before we found out...

as long as nothing is fractured or broken.......

although...he would probably play with a broken foot if they let him...

Considering Yao... and his history with foot injuries... I think it is a serious matter.

It is defintely serious. Yao's foot problems are well documented. This should be taken very seriously.

You should probably rephrase that. It should be taken seriously, but it doesn't mean his current foot issue is series. We're pretty light schedule-wise to close out the season so Yao could possibly have 8 days off before the start of the playoffs to heal up.

Any 7-footer and taller should be very careful when dealing with foot injuries. There's so much more stress on their feet and when they get hurt, it gets compounded by their weight. This is true even when taking body ratios into account. I'm not saying this is a big issue, but I am saying that Yao should be extremely wary.

Damn, guys in the Rockets organization got to be careful. We should have played Deke more during the entire season.

First I took it as an excuse to rest Yao, since nobody really freaked out. But then also I am a little worried. Yao is too tight-mouthed on injury issues, that's why he missed half of last season, for he ignored small pains and let it develop into big damage.

fellows, we havet tmac and yao, two super stars taking injure issue on two extreme ways, and both could and had hurt our team. I dont know what to say. hope yao come back good as new, we have so much to achieve for this season.

dude has pain tolerance alright...

yeah you definately dont want a player who goes out on every boo boo...

but then you dont want a player like Yao who wont say he is in pain when he is....


anyone think he should order extra shoe guards just incase someone decides to stomp the dudes feet...

he did the same thing for his knee earlier in the year

he went on to play 50 more games

i think this isn't an issue if he is traveling with the team

Reassuring. Looks like Yao is being cautious with his feet. Any pain whatsoever and he calls in the meds (which is what he said this was). So, all good.

Adelman did say Keith Jones wasn't worried about it however.

But even so! I think we can relax.
