Should we start Wafer over Battier?

Im a Rocket fan and the only thing I want is the team to susscess.

But being honest, beside all the small things that I dislike about the execution of this team, I confest that for the first time ever Im feeling disappointed by the play of Shane Battier.

In last night game 2 of this first rounder against the Blazers he was a non-factor. Had him at least score 5 more points and we had won this game. Sure the lost was cortesy of both him and Ron Artest (In a playoff game you cant go 1-8 from 3 land, it shoud be stopped at 1-4)

But something is wrong with Battier and I dont like it, ask a starter no matter your role, you do dont go 1-2 the entire game to finish with 3 point. So what is the deal here if Roy went for 42 last nigth like many others.

We should start Von Wafer over Battier with him coming from the bench to replace Arterst.

Please your opinios are important.

Dont Panic. No need to change anything, this is the playoffs. Wafer is good off the bench, and that is what we need.

I posted this thread about 3 months ago should they start Wafer over Artest. Some laughed. I stick by my statement.

I dont care who starts but Wafer should have been there at the end of the game. He was too hot to have sitting on the bench. We would have been blown out if it wasn't for his penetration.

We have Brooks in the starting line-up already. As long as we have somebody who can penetrate we're ok. It's all about offensive balance. We need Wafer off the bench when Brooks goes out.

And even if Battier doesn't take a shot the entire game people aren't going to leave him open often so it's not like he is an offensive liability per se.

So, Wafer, Artest and Brooks all at the same time? Which one of these players will dump the ball to Yao? (Well Brooks to a lesser extent, but still.)

Basketball is beyond PPG.

Wafer is the type of guy who can be lights out on some nights, but on other nights he can be a very detrimental player because of his tunnel vision. He's a very inconsistent player but he's doing a great job being a spark plug, which is what he will be for the rest of his career.

And they would probably start Outlaw instead of Batum who will absolutely own Wafer on the offensive end.

Some people just don't get it....good bench players are that way b/c they are BENCH players.

nah Shane is good starting because he doesn't provide much of an offense spark off the bench like Wafer does

True. Soon Mutombo will step out of that role and in comes SHANE BATTIER!

Wafer showed in that second half why he isn't a starter, he's better served coming off the bench and being a spark. I'd like some added offense too, but I liked Battier's aggressiveness offensively the last game.

Wafer had the ball 4 straight posessions where he missed 2 times and turned it over 2 times causing a huge shift. He needs to get hsi head in the game
