ummm.... I hope he was just joking
http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl...kn/6392873.html“It’s amazing,” Carl Landry said. “He’s got a big scar on the right side of his face and scratches all over his arm. He goes out there and battles everyday.”
Hey, Yao, how did you get that scar?
“My wife did it,” he said.
Did you complain to the refs Saturday night during an 86-83 victory?
“I complained on the court.”
And?
“One guy said, 'Your English is not good enough.’”

Yao is a funny guy. All he is saying is that they do not care what he says.

Do you think the whole Van Gundy ref conspiracy theory in 2005 has caused some refs to not like Yao/The Rockets? I just hope this series doesn't get decided by a bad call.

and funny as it sounds, it makes me feel very sad for Yao. He puts up so much and he deserves some respect.

I think this has been one of the more fairly ref'ed series in his career. Excluding the first game, the refs are calling some of those bumps that Yao receives going down the court by oden or pryzbilla. I think they let it go once/twice, but usually the 3rd time it happens they call it. Should they call it everytime?? Hell yes (as a rocket fan) but i can see why they dont. You can't call it every time, but at least they are calling it now compared to never calling it before.
The reason I think Oden will never be that great is his slow ability to adapt. From his first game ever til now, he still makes the same bone headed mistakes/fouls (similar to Artest and his shot selection). Now, he can have a pretty good career, but all the great ones had the ability + IQ to adapt. Oden is just too slow, I think.

Yao may be joking...but this is probably true. NBA refs have their own agenda. Watch him foul out in game 5.

True enough, NBA refs usually do have their own agenda. We all know the calls the Lakers get for playing in LA. Then there's the 2005 fiasco where we lost against Dallas because Mark Cuban went behind Stern's back and complained to the refs. How he did not get punished for that is beyond me (probably because he's a rich owner and Dallas puts up flashy scoring stats).
