We would have won the championship with T-Mac

Wow! the difference this year isnt t-mac is missing so we are better. the difference is that brooks and lowry give us so much more flexibility and are so much more of a weapon that alston was. lets not be stupid, if t-mac was right, he would make us even better. hes one of the most unselfish superstars ever on the court. this is the deepest team he would have ever had. i say sign artest, give mac one more chance next year

I agree. If we have Tmac at 80%, we're going to the finals.

Agreed unfortunately we could, also keep in mind Battier was not shooting 90% from the free throw line and knocking down big shots ever for us in the playoffs in previous years. He has turned it around and Yao is also a lot tougher these days. Not to mention the improvement of scola and give credit where credit is due adelman coached an amazing game today.

No doubt. Even Adelman admitted T-Mac’s absence is the primary reason for our difficulty to get Yao the ball, and Portland defending him the way they did.
The bottom line is that I don't care what people say. T-Mac is a part of the roster and by default he, too, has advanced to the 2nd round.

A healthy McGrady sure.
But right now if I am being 100% honest....as of today we haven't shown the poor poise consistently down the stretch. Oh it was there in games 2 and 5 but not in the other games. It wasn't here tonight in LA as it was in the regular season. Of course I know that that particular problem with us will show up in this series...probably in the next game.
But what I am saying is that so far in these playoffs we haven't needed T-Mac.

Could of, would of, should of.... McGrady is not here and he is not walking out and suiting up this playoff. A little too quick to jump the gun; one win and 11 more to go. Maybe I'm the exception but I just don't think adding McGrady would have been a guarantee championship, it's not that easy. This Rockets playoff team just seems more complete the way they are lined up now then anything prior.

We'd have a better chance at winning it, not we'd win it. Remember the lakers in 04. We miss a lot with him gone, but I think we're a little bit harder to guard with him gone. Everyone touching the ball more, means the defenses have to play harder, the double team guy has to run a little more to close out. I miss tmac's passing ability, not his shot volume.

Quit thinking about what could of been... especially with McGrady, he has proven nothing, hell who knows how are team would of been with him, 4 guys standing around watch Mcgrady... I am very much happy with Artest instead of McGrady at least we dont have to make that tired excuse that McGrady and Yao need more time to acclimate to each other AFTER 4 seasons together.

Well adding him in to the equation without giving up any players (like in a trade) certainly would not be a negative. I'm not certain how it would do with our team chemistry. We seem to have a good amount of touches for everyone. So in that case, it will be interesting to see how the distribution will turn out next year. I wonder who's shots he'll be taking away from.

College Boy,
W/McGrady,Ron's shots go waaaay down. Not just because McGrady would be taking shots, but because he made sure to feed Yao.
Assuming McGrady comes back 80-90%,at least still able to get past his man on perimeter, and Wafer and Ron are re-signed,the 09-10 Rockets look pretty solid.
McGrady,Artest(in the Battier role, but able to get his own shot),Brooks,Scola and Yao could be very nice if McGrady becomes the defacto PG. W/Yao starting to get comfortable making the 15-20ft jumper, that opens the lane for Artest,Scola and Brooks to cut thru and we know McGrady can pass. The second unit has Lowry,Wafer,Battier,Landry and Dorsey/Hayes/FA a nice unit that can run,has a defender and a couple of shot-creators.
But that's a lot of ifs.
Right now I'm just enjoying the ride.

Maybe with a prime T-Mac. Of course T-Mac is no longer in his prime (though Kobe is and is like the same age...). Still no question this team would be better w/ the T-Mac from last year but microfracture surgery isn't something everybody just bounces back from. It remains to be seen what T-Mac's body has left.
