From Tmac's blog:

"As for an update on me, I had shoulder surgery yesterday, which was successful. For those of you with medical knowledge, I had a left shoulder arthroscopic distal clavicle excision for long standing symptoms emanating from my acromioclavicular joint…. For everyone else out there, I had a quick arthroscopic surgery to minimize some pain and discomfort in my left shoulder."

 Februrary was the Mircrofacture surgery on the knee.
 Now is the Arthroscopic surgery on the shoulder.

Guy is becoming another Grant Hill.

Maybe for every 3 surgeries the 4th one is free?

He had a solid career, it kinda saddens me to see him break down like this.

It's funny too, because before last season he had never had surgery. Now he's getting em like it's a routine thing.

We would be if T-Mac had a time machine.

This is not news. He announced it before the beginning of this season, for those of you that were paying attention. I believe it was stated that he has arthritis in it.

Despite what some may think, he wasn't wearing that shoulder sleeve for style points.

is there any kind of surgery he could get that would make him play hard every game?

It's pretty amazing what they can do with surgeries nowadays. while I'm personally doubtful that he'll ever be back 100%, who am I to judge? If he can solve two physical problems during the same span of time, than all the better.

I am not optimistic, but I am hopeful... ;)

Funny how some of you attack a guy whos constantly having surgery and clearly hasnt been healthy for awhile.

"Tmac doesnt play hard" "Tmac decides everyday if he feels like playing"

Talk about kicking a guy while hes down, we all know tmac has severe injury problems and it has mentally affected him with comments hes made in the media. But hey, considering healthy hes one of the best basketball players on the planet i think its understandable how frusterated he is and why he makes some stupid comments.

I dont know why all the tmac hate, just accept that hes an injury prone player that you never know what your going to get from him. Just like one morning Yao might wake up and have a broken leg and be out for the season, these are the stars the Rockets have chosen to build around its not there fault there injury prone.

There's no need to be critical of this surgery. I'm applaud him for having taken care of it already. Better now than later.

This season might have been different had he approached last offseason the same way.

David - Montreal, QC: Does Tracy Mcgrady get the curse of never getting out of the first round off him even though he was out long before the playoffs started and didn't even travel with the team like Yao and Dikembe did?

SportsNation Chad Ford: No ... but an interesting side note. I saw T Mac in Chicago at Tim Grover's gym getting in some serious summer work. Haven't seen him there before. Must be a contract year. I'd expect him to be in great shape and playing much better next year.
