Nobody.
Scola= Argentina version of Hakeem
Landry is Amare reincarnated
Dorsey is Ben Wallace in his prime
Hayes is Dennis Rodman without the crazy
They're all untouchable.

Seriously speaking though, Chuck Hayes has proved to be a valuable defender over the years, he's like one of those players that impacts our team more than ANY stat sheet would provide...he does a lot of the little things that count and he's always ready to play when we need him. It'd take more than Sergio, but I highly doubt the Rockets trade Chuck Hayes without packaging him up with others..

actually you should look at it like this
yao is injruy prone
our team proved that chuck hayes is a valuble player, as he stepped in for yao's absense after he got injured in the playoffs. last game hayes had 5 stls and 1 blk. he's 6'6. for undersized lineups he works perfect whenever the team needs him.
scola is our best pf
landry is a devoloping pf
dorsey is a project
if we trade either of them we need anotehr big in return, or someone like brandon roy, kobe bryant, dwight howard.

Hayes, Dorsey and Barry for Martell Webster OR Travis Outlaw (with Batum, Roy and Rudy there is really only room for one of them)

The thing that bothered me about Hayes last year, and was reflected in his PT, was that without McGrady, his lack of polish on offense was thoroughly exposed. His FG% dropped to 37%, and combined with a career low in FT% (also 37%

) to dramatically lower his production for us. It's still good for what he is - a third string emergency guy - but we REALLY need his offense to recover next year to regain his production advantages. I'm not yet sure what will or should happen if it doesn't.

dorsey will be packaged off somewhere soon, I think.....He has bad work ethic (forgot who said that) and I never liked him at memphis. If we could get a legit backup C, I'd send hayes and/or dorsey for that guy.
Thing is though, hayes can hang b/c other than Dwight and Yao, the next "top" center is garbage. That's the only way hayes is somewhat effective when Yao goes down. It'd be nice to get a legit C so we could limit yao's minutes and not have to worry about running him ragged when the other team goes big and yao gets in foul trouble.
I know gortat, wallace....and a couple other cats are available this offseason, I'm sure we'll make a play for one of those guys.

Gortat's looking for a bigger contract than we're likely to offer, or at least I'd expect it.
Both Wallace's are thinking about retirement

Doubt we'd get a "legit" backup C for 3-4m though... (approx current cost of both them combined)

I don't know about "is," but he certainly "was" good and "can be decent" in the right system. Is Rick Adelman's the "right system"?
Damn, that's a lot of quotes.

I think guy was referring to me saying the next C after D12/Yao IS garbage. Maybe "garbage" is a bad word, but what I meant is the next couple of C's after the top 2 are about on the same level and you could put up a very good argument about any of them. How much better is Shaq compared to Pau compared to Kendrick perkins.....etc? =/

Offensively, Howard isn't even as good as Shaq or Gasol.
The next C after Yao is garbage.

Hayes isn't a premiere talent or anything speical, but regardless, any situation defensively against any WC team especially, Hayes has got the call.
In the playoffs if we play Duncan, Gasol, Dirk, West, Boozer, Amare..doesn't matter who at PF, Hayes has them for 15-20mpg if not more and locks them down. He's not incredible expensive either, no need to trade him.

Moofs,
It wasn't just Chuck who "suffered" w/out McGrady. Both Yao and Scola shot FTs far less frequently this season compared to last season. If they had gotten FTs at the rate they did last season Yao would have had @75 more attempts and Scola @40 more attempts.
Rockets.com has a very interesting article on Dorsey. I got the opinion that Rockets hope Dorsey works hard enough to become Yao's back-up,maybe even becoming the 3rd big in the rotation. My bet right now is they wait thru first few Pre-Season Games to see if he can do the job before going after a back-up C.
To me the money quote/warning sign is from Director of Player Programs,Shawn Respert:
“I think the biggest thing is just the work ethic; getting that thing consistent."
