Just saw it, this team is cursed.

I wouldn't be too quick to jump the gun though, isn't a bit premature to say Yao would miss over a year of basketball when he's not had any procedures done? I'm not sure on the whole situation, so maybe I'm being an optimist, but really, awful news. Maybe explains the Rubio rumors, we're packing it in.

This is why we shouldn't never trade Hakeem away.

I knew that Vipers news was too good to be true. As it turned out, it came as a package. One great news followed by a terrible one.

there should be some big available who might take less $$ toplay for a contender

gooden, zaza,okur(if opts out)

how about an amare trade

or maybe a backup big from another team looking for a shot r. lopez, turiaf, przybilla

would cleveland deal big Z w/ shaq around?

I guess this is what happens when the rockets and the chinese national team ride a guy that hard.

I refer you to Herbert Stein's Law: If something cannot go on forever, it will stop

From the sounds of it, it's a really odd fracture that's going to take a lot of time to recover from. Sounds like the same one Portland's Mertell Webster had. he tried to come back too early and paid the rpice for it. If there is muscle damage as well, it could cripple him, unfortunately. But my guess is its an unfortunate hairline fracture that they will have to baby. If so, start the replacement talks.

Man that sucks I like Yao I really do. Shaq was a douche to him when he came into the league and he still took it well. What the **** seriously? Even as a Laker fan I have no reason to hate him at all. He had a real injury and played on it unlike Princess Pierce.

Good luck to the guy.
