Sportscenter reports Yao's injury has been exaggerated

Post#1 » by Baller 24 » Tue Jun 30, 2009 3:26 am

Via Clutchfans, there is some stuff on ESPN front page, I guess we shouldn't trust the source until we legitimately find out from other sources, it's kind of weird that Yahoo! is the only one reporting. I so far haven't heard anything from the Chron either.

Yao update: Same situation as March '08. Returned for Olympics and best season. Likeliest scenario - surgery, misses part of next season.

I am sure it is. But I also know that Yao isn't gonna magically shrink to 6'11 260 pounds. So he will always have severe foot problems. His career is 100% in jeopardy.

i'll admit this is serious for yao, houston, etc, but i wont believe he's done, especially for next season.

His first free offseason, the same offseason before 2010, and this offseason FA's are loaded better than past years, maybe everyone's on a nba high after all those trades and the draft. This isn't the first time everyone went all crazy on something this bad.

End of the week we'll see what happens. :( :please god: :) .

You guys should really consider, I don't know, getting a backup C? You have to limit the wear and tear Yao gets during the regular season so there is less chance his feet falling off. I know he has been worked to the bone by the China national team too and hopefully they will lay off, it would be a shame for his career to be cut short because of injury. I hope this report is true. Good luck.

It's all a Daryl Morey ploy to lure a free agent big who would refuse to come off the bench, or at least I hope so.

Throw some duct tape on that foot. That'll keep him going for a long while.
