OT: Funky Recent Stats

Here's one:
Cuttino Mobley averaged 42.1 mpg in 2001-2002 for the Houston Rockets. This past season (2008-2009), the league leader in minutes averaged 39.9 mpg.

Well, this can be somewhat explained by the fact that he just wanted to share as much time as possible with Steve Francis.
"I can't put it into words," he said. "Playing with a guy, living with a guy, just knowing that every day when I wake up that's something I can count on, that I'm going to be in practice or in a game with Cuttino.
"Him not being here is going to be tough for me. I don't know what I'm going to wake up for."

whatever happened to steve francis? he always seemed like such a drama queen wherever he went.

Why did this get moved to the freakin' Rockets forum? This was a thread about odd recent statistics and Mobley was just an example. Can a Houston mod please move this back to the Raptors board. Thanks.
