This comes from the NY Board. I haven't heard anything here in Miami.
Rich Bucher is reporting that he'll sign a 2 year deal with Houston.

If Iverson got into the mix it would be very interesting for Houston.

iverson wont be in houston, not enough money to even offer him. ya lets see if he'll accept a 1.5 mil for 2 years.

someone has to sign him...a former multiple scoring champ. pple talking like he sucks now :( .

That was all I heard from it... Note that it says we offer him $5mil. The article was posted on Aug. 5th.

All Houston has left is @$2mil of the MLE(not my magical, mystical 41mil :) ) and vet mins. Not likely, esp since Morey kinda likes effeciency, youth and defense from his players.

ya for real let brooks play most the pg minutes. w/o yao and possibly tmac he'll get so much better, pefect for next season.

i like iverson but we cant compete for the playoffs w/ him and 0-20 games of tmac. thats just a wasted season.

altho im still optimistic for tmac to play 70+ games. plz no iverson. we gotta see how brooks pans out first. we need our young players to get better to be prepared for 2010 years, to do that they need to use the playing time/shots w/ yao being out for the whole season. iverson would delay that for a year or 2, and our team will be too old in 3 years.

I call BS on this. Definitely not a Daryl Morey move.

Yeah, do we even have the money, after reportedly signing Pops, and the rookie deals of Anderson, Taylor and Budinger.

Iverson is not the same anymore...not to mention he still wants 40+ minutes along with 40+ shots a game.....

I would be interested to see who Morey has in mind in a trade, if Iverson (hypothetically) was signed.

Rudy Gay, Al Jefferson

maybe its heavily backloaded with the brunt of the contract next season.

but also i think and im probably wrong but they can sign anyone as long as they don't exceed the league average (which is around 5.8 mil per year)

@rocketfan281 @LesPorter @rockets_3 No truth. I never said it. And I can tell you definitively AI is not going to Houston.
