If the Bobcats wanted Battier and Dorsey what would it take to get these guys?

Short answer: A totally different Bobcats roster.
Long answer: I looked at their roster and can honestly say there's not a single player on there I would want to see in a Rox uniform (assuming the Rox had to trade a player who plays the same position and makes anywhere near the same money).

Ribalding,
Don't be too hasty.
Battier,Dorsey and Cook for Chandler.
We use Chandler this yr,then trade him next summer.
(of course this assumes the Rockets are willing to trade Battier, which I don't think is happening in our lifetime.)

The only player near, near, anywhere near Battier on the Bobcats is Gerald Wallace, and he isn't gonna get traded, is he?

I'd like Okafor if they didn't just give them away. G-Force is the only other player.

you guys have Ariza, so why would you want Wallace?
But if so, Ariza+Battier+Landry+Dorsey for Wallace+Bell.
EDIT: Ok, I see it's not possible due to Arizas TRS

Yep.
Cause the Rockets have never had a skinny, injury-prone center.
Pull that trigger.

Look at his contract. Then answer your own question.

It's not that the Bobcats don't have pieces, both Wallace, and Chandler can add different elements to our team, but considering our personnel, in hoping Ariza can become a poor mans sort of Wallace, and Chandler's contract, there's no deal I would see feasible for both sides.

Battier is detrimental to the Rockets chances of winning a championship in 2010-11.
We aren't going to win a championship next season and there's no one on the Bobcats who can put us over the top. So why bother?

It's also a ridiculously bad trade.
24y/o key championship cog + one of the current best defensive players in the league (assumption that last year's partial decline was only due to beginning-of-year injuries) + great backup pf + draft pick that still hasn't played and still has potential
FOR
27y/o defensive/stat stuffer player with some offensive skill who's extremely injury prone and who's also already had to change his style of play, drastically reducing his effectiveness + an over the hill role player.
The
only bright side for us is that we dump $3m, and I say all this as someone who's really liked Wallace from his rookie year until prior to last year and still think he's an above average, but overpaid, player.

Also I don't like Chandler's contract.

To take a ridiculous concept seriously, the only player I'd want from Charlotte would be Chandler.
Wallace constantly gets hurt and misses 3-6 games and is known for breaking/ignoring the offense.
Chandler would fill a need for this yr and could be moved during the summer.
That said,ain't ever gonna happen.
BTW,the poster originally proposed Battier,Dorsey for Nazr Mohammed and a second on the Bobcats board,so we're not talking about anything remotely serious.

no one wants DJ? he shot 44% on threes and almost 90% of his free throws in his rookie season.

Chris Wallace needs to get off RealGM.

So we're supposed to get screwed over by a team with Michael Jordan in the front office??? Why not just go back in time and let Isiah shaft us as well???

You won't get him at the lowball prices being discussed...or Wallace,or Chandler. Felton may be gettable but his contract is running out. Nazr could be had dirt cheap. Battier's low offensive output makes him a 6th man for a team like the Bobs who are already short on scoring and don't need older players. Somehow, Utah seems a good fit.

I was referring specifically to the posters who said they didn't want anyone at all on Charlotte's roster. wasn't advocating any specific deal.
I don't think Shane would be welcome in Utah after his comments last May.
"I’ve already told the guys and the coaches and (General Manager) Daryl (Morey); everybody knows that if we play Utah I’m not going,” said Battier, punctuating the joke with his trademark baritone guffaw. “I’ll play the home games, but I’m not getting on that plane,
I’m sorry. I’ve spent too much of my life in Salt Lake City. I want to see some other cities in the world."
