WOW! This is so incorrect. Game is to be played in the Rio Grande Valley, McAllen TX to be exact. The name of the venue is Dodge Arena. C'mon guys, I told you all that I would be attending and I'll be giving you all a post game summary.

good game again, comeback win vs boston. andersen had a good game, 5-7fg, 2rbs, 1blk. i didnt see this game but the other one he was moving around on defense, attemtping to take charges, wasnt bad on defense, so thats good. and even better, the only shot blocker...JOEY DORSEY!!1 9rbs, 1to, 6fls, no blks but still got the boards, cant wait to see wat else he'll do in the preseason. budinger was good, ariza 1-11 but still good on defense.

need more playmaking, brooks has to be rackin up the assists, either that or lowry and him combine for 8-10 asts per game. andersen/ariza/taylor will thrive off assists

so far team looks good, a room for improvement of corse, but they're alrite.

Here are the WP48 stats for tonight's game.

Code: Select all

Player               WP48
Trevor Ariza        -.531
Brian Cook          -.295
Chuck Hayes          .009
Aaron Brooks         .376
Kyle Lowry          -.033

Luis Scola          -.515
Joey Dorsey          .063
Jermaine Taylor     -.194
Chase Budinger       .025
Will Conroy          .052
Pops Mensah-Bonsu   -.126
David Andersen       .280
Garrett Temple      -.482
Carl Landry          .404

The story from Wins Produced this game is that a lot of the Rockets played very poorly, but were saved by great performances from Aaron Brooks, David Andersen, and Carl Landry. I wasn't able to watch the game, but just from looking at the box score I'm amazed the Rockets won. The total Wins Produced for the team actually are in the negative range.

However, the Celtics posted a collective negative WP too: one lower than the Rockets. Garnett's WP48 for the game was .566. If he'd played more than 13 minutes, that would be an unbelievable game.

I'd imagine the inefficiency came from both teams playing good defense, since both teams shot poorly.

If Carl Landry is able to continue this level of production into the season, we will be fielding a bona fide superstar.

I was there and this is my report:
C's led the whole game until the final 3 minutes when unknown Anderson scored 7 straight pts followed by some missee FTs from the C's, to seal the deal. Fan favorite and "the original Viper" ABrooks played a solid game, just what's expected of him. Dorsey was productive on the boards, Chase missed quite a few shots, Ariza was somewhat quite and Scola was non-existent. It was a fun game in a sold out Dodge Arena, McAllen TX. Hayes and Landry banged well inside. HOU did looked outsized though, maybe cause Battier, YAO, and TMac weren't present. The C's 3rd unit was just a disaster while HOU's 3rd unit was exceptional and in a preseason game, that makes all the difference. I had a hard time figuring out where Ariza falls into Adelman's system, he looked a bit lost at times running the offense, but this is only a preseason game and it can only get better from here. Overall fun game and great for the fans of deep south Texas.

Cs fan. I saw the game.

Budlinger's a steal. Andersen was impressive.

105 free throw attempts between both teams which is more than twice the average game. NBA better get strike settled, cause it will hurt product.

I will say this until it happens, then I will switch to "I told you so!!!!!!"

Landry will be an All-Star,

Andersen is the real deal, (For what we expect of him.) give the man time to adjust.

And let's start this now. Cause I am sick of Nash Paul, and Parker. (Well not really Paul, but definately Nash and Parker.)

Brooks to be West Starting PG this year.

I have spoken.
