less than 4 days away till our first game, woooh . balzers, warriors, blazers again is the first 3 games, warriors being one of hte better up tempo team, plays us the day after we play portland.

there has to be some kind of petition for stern to stop hating the rockets, wtf is his problem? he prolly laughed his ass off when he was told about houstons' first 3 games.

Since I'm taking a pessimistic view of the season, I'm predicting a 1-4 start. MAYBE we get by Golden State.

Maybe.

(I hope I'm terribly wrong!)

I hope you're wrong too. I hope they start 0-5 or 5-0. Being a fringe playoff team or a late lottery team is the last thing I want to see.

Ehhh, I love the Rockets too. I'm a huge die hard fan. Also a die hard Texans fan too. But I must say, after watching the Texans the past two seasons, they definable surpassed the Rockets as my number Houston team.

I love basketball, it was always my favorite growing up, but football is easily the greatest sport.

Don't even get me started with the Astros.

Its like this...

1.) TEXANS

2.) ROCKETS (a close 2nd but not neck and neck)

3.) Astros (Don't even matter anymore until they realize just how bad the franchise is screwed now and the future and rebuild properly).

That about sums up how I feel too KiD. If the NBA wasn't the worst league in professional sports I'd probably care more, but football has taken over for me(even if the Texans are a bunch of underachieving nerfherders).

I used to really love baseball more than I do now but the season drags on waaaaaaaaaaaaay too long, especially when our team has been run into the ground by retards. Perhaps when they become competitive again I might care for more than just the first week.

These days I seem to be loving football more and more each year, while the opposite is true of basketball and baseball.

Still, I am looking forward to the season starting. I couldn't care less about anything going on in the NBA outside of the Rockets though.

I agree with the above two to a certain degree.

While I love my Rox and Texans, I'm done with the Astros. I don't think we'll win again with a cheapskate owner at the helm.

Mike Freakin' Hampton and Russ MFing Ortiz were vital to us getting to the playoffs.

Wandy Rodriguez' breakout season is the only thing that kept me paying attention last season, mostly because I've witnessed his progression since he fought with Zeke Astacio for the last spot in the rotation a few years back.

Wandy impressed me as well.

I'm sure that Uncle Drayton, Ed Wade & Tal Smith noticed how well Wandy did and are busy trying to find a team willing to give up an over-the-hill, former All-Star infielder who hit a ton a few seasons ago for him.

The Lastros should trade just about everyone on their roster.

They can keep Bourn for his outstanding defense, base running, and he has improved his OBP as well. The rest, however, I agree. Ship them all out. Sorry Fat Elvis and Wizard, I love you both, but you're getting older and deserve to play on a winner, not this pathetic excuse of a franchise.

Anyways, go Texans?

Go Texans, indeed!

Good news about Andre today. I know that a lung contusion is no laughing matter, but I really thought that he may have punctured a lung in yesterdays game.

He may or may not play this week. I almost think that the Texans should make him rest for the week (hide his helmet!) and take our chances against Buffalo with Walter, Jacoby, Anderson and Other Andre.

He is on my fantasy team, so he MUST PLAY.

I kid, I have a stacked enough team without him for one week. The Texans could sure use him though. I know Buffalo is pretty awful but playing without the greatest WR in the history of the universe doesn't help. As long as he's healthy though. I'm glad he seems to be okay.

Go Rockets!

Haven't paid any attention to hoops for a long while now, but definitely have almost-opening-tip antici-excitement. Lookin' forward to checking out C-Bud, Pops and the rest of 'em.

Did the hiring of Brad Mills as the GM warm any hearts back to the Astros?

For me it's hard to get excited about a new manager when Tal, Ed & Uncle Drayton still call the shots.
