That's an honour that only goes to "Name Players." Chuck's a Nobody as far as the league is concerned. And he played to much offence tonight, so no dice on chuck.

I will bet though, that Kobe and Lebron will be part of the defensive 1st team this year, any takers, you can choose the odds........

I thought not!

Pound per pound the best defensive player of all-time. If Chuck continues to play at this rate, then he deserves to be a DPOY candidate.

Chuck Hayesis definable one of my favorite, if not favorite, Rockets role players (he's up there with Mad Maxwell) that I've seen since I started watching in the early 90's.

If he continues to start for the whole season, as he should in my opinion and the Rockets make the playoffs then I think he could get some votes for Defensive 2nd or 3rd team. By then the entire league will have felt the wrath of the Chuckwagon!

If Chuck was suddenly 7'2" I could imagine the we don't need Yao threads popping up.

I'm curious to see a list of the people that used to throw him in on EVERY SINGLE trade proposal on this board. Hardly anyone's said a bad word about him in a year and a half, when mostly no one used to say anything good about him. It's really weird.

Of course it's Chuck Hayes. I have tons of respect for him. He reminds me of rudy in the Rudy film, only that he achieves much better than Rudy. The guy should be made a universal role modal, for how he overcomes his shortcoming by working extra extra hard, brushing aside all the worldly mocks and defeats, to earn his seconds and minutes and hours of glory. He is calm, he is solid, he never lets go, he stand strong, he is always there, and when he IS there, you know he is not going to let anybody scores on him easily. Somebody should make a movie about him.

maybe because he's improved a lot in that time.
He used to be super foul prone, missed layups and a free throw joke.
He's always played hard but now he plays smart too.
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

I notice that also, it was like Tmac pass to Chuck Hayes, and somehow he missed the uncontested easy layup, then I was like WTF. Totally different story right now, Chuck can make those layups even with 2 defender close to him.

What's next? Chuck Hayes adding some Mid range Js to his arsenal?

He said in an interview that he made the most of his fouls since he came off the bench, and that he would adjust given the starting role. He is still a free throw joke. The only thing he improved on was his layups, so people are cool with him now.
