Houston Rockets Dallas Mavericks Game Thread.

When? 08.30 Tonight.

Where? Dallas.

We both have the same record. 4 victories and 2 losses.
They are for now a much better defensive team than us.
(Opp PPG: 94,3, Opp FG%: 44, 2%)
And they just got Josh Howard back.
They have a superstar PF, a still very good PG with Kidd, a good SF rotation( Howard-Marion).

But we're balanced.
They have six players averaging at least 9.8 points - newcomer Trevor Ariza leads the way with 20.8 per game - and a different player has led Houston in scoring in three straight contests.

We've got a young, up and coming duo of Ariza( 20 ppg, 4,5 boards, 4 assists) and Brooks( 18,3 ppg and nearly 8 assists a game). We still got one of the best perimeter defender out there, and we've got Scola to battle with Dirk.

And finally, we have to win, for Adelman.
Coach Rick Adelman will be going for his 865th career victory, which would break a tie with Jack Ramsay for 11th place all-time.

I like our chances.
Go rockets.

Don't matter who guards Dirk to start because Landry and Ariza will shut him down to finish. Gonna be a tough game though b/c like most teams they are most talented than us. But like always..Dallas is bitch!

Looking forward to another fun game against the hated Mavs tonight!

I hope that the extra days off let the guys rest, but not get tight. Once again, if they just relax and try not to force to much they should be competitive tonight (I'm looking at you, Trevor Ariza!)

julio - thanks for starting the thread for this game. I do want to point out to everyone that the gametime is still 7:30 PM Central, so don't tune in late!

Dirk "The Jerk" Nodickski and Josh "Thug Life" Howard and Jason "Not A Kid Anymore" Kidd and the rest of these guys don't know what's about to hit them. Prepare to be humiliated on your own floor by the greatest group of role players ever assembled in any sport in the history of stuff.

Rockets win by a million gajillion points and send the evil, wretched, vile, pathetic Mavericks on a downward spiral of shame and misery the likes of which no man has ever witnessed before.

This will not be a battle. This will be a massacre of epic proportion. Dallas, you have met your doom, and it's name is Houston.

In reality I say we lose in a close but very good game, probably due to some sort of terrible call in a crucial moment of the game that costs us the win, as it always is when we play Dallas.
We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

Julio, on the Adelman's win, he has already tied with Jack Ramsay after the win over Thunders. If rockets won today, he will surpass Jack.
And finally, we have to win, for Adelman.

Coach Rick Adelman will be going for his 865th career victory, which would break a tie with Jack Ramsay for 11th place all-time.

If the Mavs are going to be careless with the ball, we've got to take advantage. They've given us a lot of chances to score so far.
