Where: Toyota Center, Houston, TX

When: 11/11/09 7:30 PM CST

Why: Because we need to see if the fellas can bounce back from the drubbing in Dallas

The Starters:

Image

C- Chuck Hayes

Image

PF - Luis Scola

Image

SF – Shane Battier

Image

SG – Trevor Ariza

Image

PG – Aaron Brooks

Starting for the Grizzlies…Not Allen Iverson. Also:

C- Marc Gasol
PF – Zach Randolph
SF – Rudy Gay
SG – OJ Mayo
PG – Mike Conley

Let’s see how our guys do tonight back at home after an emotional beatdown on the road. If they stay relaxed they should do fine. Yes, I know that I say that every game, but I truly feel that is one of the biggest keys to the game for the Rockets. Once they start thinking too much and forcing things they are taken out of their game.

Love the Scola/Gasol matchup. The two meanest non-American Pseudo-White-Guys in the world.

Should be fun.

(P.S. Can somebody break O.J. Mayo's back? Pretty please? He's too good.)

Take a gander at Memphis' roster! STACKED!! they shouldn't be bottom in the division and have only 1 win..

And by that reasoning, a certain team from Houston should finish the season with 24.7 wins. (Derived by multiplying an 82 game season by the percentage of the salary cap the Rox have in uniform)

P.S. - 76% of statisticians hate their effing jobs.

I don't apply that reasoning to the rockets just everyone else in the NBA.

Rockets tend to play better at home (subscribing to the theory that role players tend to play better at home)

For as much motion we've seen in this game we shouldn't have so low a score.

Of course, the sloppy play on both sides may have something to do with that.

LoL someone needs to make a comic/flowchart of what goes on in Lowry's head when he is driving.. it should always end with drawing contact.

There is an article on NBA.com Rocket homepage about Lowry. Some interesting information there.
http://www.nba.com//rockets/news/rocket ... 11_10.html

Whatever the case may be, neither man, beast nor mythical creature is going to keep Kyle Lowry from attacking the basket when he gets the ball in his hands and that gleam in his eye. The second he sees the slightest crease or the smallest opening, he’s gone; hurtling toward the basket at warp speed, ready to tip-toe, traipse or circumnavigate the fjord of defenders standing between him and the goal.

Then there’s his impact on the defensive end. Despite being undersized – at least vertically, anyway – Lowry has managed to become a tenacious and versatile defender. According to 82games.com, Lowry is holding opposing point guards to an anemic .317 effective field goal percentage this season and a player efficiency rating of just 10.9 (note: The league average PER is 15.00 every season). Even more impressive: Lowry has been almost as effective while defending two-guards, limiting them to a .432 effective field goal percentage and a PER of 10.9 as well.

Andersen's shooting mechanics are pretty bizarre..

Hows is that Memphis can get three 7 footers and the rockets barely have 2?

Trevor Ariza misses a 3pter and is still not the first person back on defense.. Boggles the mind. I was hopping he wouldn't turn into a chucker but that's what he is shaping up to be..
