All the "waitin for next year" is killing us True Knicks Fans. The front office must do something to keep a little buzz for this year, at least attempt not to just hand over a lottery pick to the Utah Jazz, "Thanks Isaiah", This is a proposal. Offer Larry Hughes, & Cattino Mobley's contract for Tracey McGrady. Sounds laughable but, Houston's playing well without him & Larry Hughes is playing well for us right now. The reason I make this deal now is to give time to T-Mac to observe the system and learn it until he is ready to play which should be Dec. this will help him blend in easier. Our starting lineup & bench would be as follows:
Starter D. Gallinari, F / Bench W. Chandler
Starter D. Lee, F / Bench A. Harrington
Starter "The New" Eddy Curry, C / Bench By comittee: J. Jefferies, D. Milic, J. Hill
Starter T. Douglas, G / Bench C. Duhon
Starter T. McGrady, G / Bench N. Robinson
Not too!! bad to finish the season strong & make a playoff push.

The Knicks are in a bad spot. They have nobody we want unless you are talking Chandler or Lee. We'd probably part with Mac and Battier for a combo of those two. We have no incentive to take anything else from the Knicks.
I don't think people know that we DON'T have to trade McGrady. You want the expiring you better be willing to give up young, good players. Morey is holding all the cards.

No to Hughes.
How about:
T-Mac and Joey Dorsey (Mac and Cheese)
for
Cuttino's expiring contract, Darko Milicic and Jordan Hill
http://www.realgm.com/src_checktrade.ph ... id=5280922Darko would give us some nice size to go against Bynum, Oden, Dampier, Okur...
and if he doesn't work out he's a free agent like McGrady anyway.
Hill is a young PF prospect who was Budinger's teammate at AZ.

Where would Jordan Hill play for us? I think that is a bad trade for Houston. McGrady could play well for us and would be nasty in a run and gun offense. Where as Hill wouldn't even crack the rotation. I'd rather keep McGrady. I just don't think the Knicks are good trading partners with Houston.

Whose minutes do you cut for TMac? Ariza, Battier or Budinger? If anything Chase needs more playing time right now.
Hill wouldn't have to play right away.

There's nobody on the Knicks roster the Rockets would even begin to consider other than maybe Gallinari and Hill. But Hill is not an upgrade over what the team has.
Chandler is way too inconsistant, has no defined game and is not an upgrade over Ariza.
Lee hustles but gets abused on D and he would have a hard time beating out Landry, much less Scola.
Their rookie PG is nice, but he's a scoring PG and the Rockets are set there.
Darko has flopped in Detroit,Orlando,Memphis and now in NY he can't get any minutes from a coach who doesn't care too much about D.
The rest have bad contracts or are expiring. SO WHAT! McGrady's CONTRACT IS A BIGGER EXPIRING !!!
Sorry,NY,your GM effed up badly last summer and you are going to have to overbid for injured/above average players this summer.

New York fans should stop posting on here about trading for T-Mac, they have nothing worthwhile

As much as i pity the knicks and the circus they've created... I would give you tmac for fat eddy curry because of how pathetic your team is. But the truth is.. EVEN tmac doesn't want to go to the knicks lol.

This trade is assuming if McGrady does return to some sort of form that can greatly help a team (or superstar form it's gonna help make the Knicks push for a playoff spot), and if he's going to return to that form, then there's no reason for us to trade him. Even if he doesn't, I'm not sure Larry Hughes would be the type of compensation we'd look for in return.
