Full practice on Nov 23,then MRI,evaluation, then decision on when he can play.(Tho I'd be willing to bet he has a hard workout on Nov 24 just so team can see how he responds after practice.)
McGrady wants to play now,Rockets want to be fairly certain when they do play him he stays in line-up,not in and out.(Much like San Antonio has done in past w/Ginobili and Duncan-even tho the players said they were ready the team held them out a little longer to try and be sure.)

I'm starting to think that we're going to see him play his first game over the Thanksgiving holiday. I did not think that he would play til December, even if the MRI on Monday was positive, but he actually sounds like he is dying to come back.

This could be something good.

New drama story on Tmac.

Yahoo report heated arguement between Tmac and Adelman.
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=A ... &type=lgns

Chronicle has a not so juicy report on Tmc but nothing about the heated arguement.
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=A ... &type=lgns

From a financial point of view, Rockets do stand to gain a lot for Tmac to sit than he playing if Tmac can't help to improve the team.

Anyway, at this rate, Tmac will be traded earlier rather than later.

Edit: If the heated arguement is between Tmac and Morey, then I would believe more about part on insurance. But for Adelman, his performance is based on winning games and maximize rocket team performance. If he think Tmac can help the team, he will be more inclined to allow Tmac to play.

^^^ I think the Rockets are just showing T-Mac that THEY will decide when he's ready not McGrady himself. We've got to give him a chance with this team. I could be sick-nasty.

This thing is headed south. I think Adelman is making a mistake. I think he overestimates what this team can do as currently constructed. If McGrady is healthy and won't be in and out of the lineup he needs to be playing. It gives us the best chance of winning. I think McGrady broke that trust when he announced his injury to everyone but Adelman. Adelman hasn't recovered.

I dunno about this insurance thing but they need to solve this issue. Chemistry can only take you so far. If any team knows this its the Rockets. At some point talent needs to be there and can't be sitting on the bench just to recoup money or sitting on the bench b/c the coach is still hurt from a messy situation last season.

Time to man up Rockets. This is about winning not getting the last laugh.

Worse part about this is the 3 bazillion inane trade ideas we'll be deluged with.

Interesting that the "sources" told the reporter(s) everything except what was actually said in the meeting.

Kinda thought that something like this was going to happen in that the team wants McGrady if he can play everyday and McGrady just wants to get out on court.

Charitable interpretation is Adelman wants to make sure McGrady has the fire to play-and play well as part of the team.

Uncharitable #1. McGrady is a selfish a-hole who doesn't care about anything but himself.
Uncharitable #2. Adelman is at the point in his career where he's saying eff-it,I'm going to play my system w/a bunch of non-superstars and to h*** w/everybody else.

C'mon now, who seriously thinks we have a legitimate shot at contending for a title.

With or without Tmac we're still a fringe playoff team and to be honest I could'nt care less if he ever suits up for us again.

Personally, I'm enjoying the he(( out of my lowered expectations. "If they win, great. If not, enjoy watching them play hard." So Mac can stay out, as far as I'm concerned. When he gets back, I'll have to deal with actual disappointment. No thanks. I'm emotionally delicate. My soul needs the rest.

Play him for a week, then trade him for some Euro prospect none of us have ever heard of.

Yay.

But what does that mean? If we are fringe playoff team why even be a playoff team. Why not try to get a good pick in a deep draft? We could sure use that. This notion about playing hard is ridiculous. This team always plays hard...under JVG..under Adelman. This team has always played hard. We won 22 straight games because we played hard every night. This is not a notion that we aren't use to and a lot of you need to reel that back in terms using that as a justification for watching the Rockets or for not having McGrady back. "Oh they play hard". "At least we played hard". We always play hard..with McGrady..with Yao..without either or both.....its been this way since JVG came and is that way with Adelman now. We need to expect more of this team b/c they are playing hard...because they aren't gonna try for that draft pick.

At best McGrady would lead us to a good seed and a chance to make a deep playoff run depending on match ups. No we won't win a title but its not like we are trying to tank for a good draft pick either. If this team wants to make the playoffs that means they want to make some noise in the playoffs. The 'noise' part is simply not gonna happen without a star player. If he is healthy...and that's the thing we wont' find figure out until he starts to play....but if he is...he can't be sitting on the bench.

Hey guys - Suns fan here but a big fan of the Rox since last year's playoffs. I really admire these guys - your FO has drafted well, traded wisely and assembled the hardest-working, highest-character squad in the league. Love watching these guys play.
I hope TMac doesn't upset the applecart

You know, as some people will take this as comedy, I can actually feel you on this one. It really is nice to watch the Rockets play an entertaining low pressured game. And with Mac in, it will almost make it serious again. Then I will go back to being extremely upset after losses. But then again, I still want us to be as competitive as possible. But I'm concerned about what McGrady's presence will do to the development of our next generation.

hahaha well put, as always. Adelman controls the lineups and that's what we've paid him to do. We're doing way better than I thought we would, and I'm sure our record is better than every projected us to be up to this point. Will we make the playoffs? Probably not. But I like the way we're playing right now. We're unpredictable and can beat any team on any given night, that's good basketball.

BTW Tmac screwed us last season, so I could care less if he ever comes back. He's already an EX-rocket in my mind.
