Saw this in the sporting news. Artest gave an Interview.

He also criticized NBA referee Joey Crawford, who was on the floor for two games of the 2009 NBA Western Conference semifinals. In Game 2, Artest was ejected after an altercation with Kobe Bryant. In Game 6, Crawford also officiated and the Lakers won 89-70 to close out the series.

"Joey Crawford basically said, 'Who cares about the Houston Rockets? Kobe Bryant is on the floor,' " Artest said, according to the Sporting News

And some of you still think Donaghy is full of it? Come on people. The NBA only cares about the Lakers, Cavs and Celtics. Hell the only reason Orlando got to the finals was because Boston just didn't have the talent and the Cavs were just a one man team and there was only so much calls you could make without outright outrage.

why do you think that the nba kept him around after threatening to beat Tim duncan? Any other sport refs would get thrown out if they threaten a player to fight. They keep 60 year old dick lovetta and Joey Crawford in the nba for a reason.

I didn't realize they closed us out in 6 games, and I didn't realize anybody still thought Donaghy was full of it.

Stern needs his scapegoats.

He nearly got busted a couple of years back (he probably desperately deleted all the evident from his computer, haha) so he had to throw his 1st card, Donaghy, away to avoid being investigated further.

Joey Crawford will be his master's next one to be sacrificed should another accusation arise.

lol. it's good to have some of these scapegoats next to him so that he can push them out in the line of fire.

the thing about this source is that it's from artest. the guy has been talking too much lately... and it's kinda rubbish at times. If Battier or Yao were the ones saying this... it would be different altogether.

btw, did he say this before he joined the lakers? if he did, he probably did not know that Joey Crookford is on their team.
