Portland needs a center. would you trade David Andersen for Rudy Fernandez?

Rockets
F: Ariza, Battier
F: Scola, Landry
C: Hayes, Dorsey (playing very well in the D-League), Cook, Yao*
G: Brooks, Lowry
G: Fernandez, Budinger, Taylor

Blazers
F: Webster, Outlaw*, Batum*
F: Aldridge, Cunningham, Pendergraph
C: Przybilla, Andersen, Howard, Oden*
G: Blake, Miller, Mills
G: Roy, Bayless

then trade Tmac for a big like

I dont think Portland would go for that. I think they could get a better player than Andersen for Fernandez.

it's a really good trade for Rockets, but I don't think Portland would like it.

On a side note, I was thinking about another Spanish player that would fit perfect in Houston's game: Sacramento's Sergio Rodriguez. A real PG (very hard to find in NBA) highly effective (50%+ FG, 47.6% 3 pointers) and nice D. That way you'd add Brooks to sweeten a T-Mac package for an elite player.

On the same SAC path you'd do something like T-Mac, Andersen and filler or picks for Martin, Rodriguez, Casspi and Kenny Thomas, but I doubt SAC would like it at all, ha ha. Just an idea though

Yeah, Portland could probably get better than Anderson.

Why would we lose our only backup center for a backup spot up shooter?

Not that portland would do it anyway. We wouldn't either.

Fernandez doens't make too much so salary wise it would be hard to get a top flight center for just him.

He's pretty upset with the Blazers and his situation there. He's stuck behind a great player. There's already talk of him going back to Europe like Juan Carlos Navarro did.

.

Andersen is more of a spot up shooter than Rudy is.
Rudy can create his own shot
And he has a better chance of starting here than in Portland

Rockets aren't going to trade their only tall player away.

jts10,
For Rudy...Andersen would be on a plane in a nano-second.
But Portland would never, ever do that trade.

What about McGrady and Landry to Toronto for Bosh, Banks, Wright and Nesterovic?

If Toronto says yes, run away before they realize what they did.

On the other hand, Rockets got Scola for free, so who knows

no i don't like rudy. We're doing fine with Andersen. Plus, Budinger is doing better than rudy this season. So I'd rather have Budinger get more playing time and shots.

Dorsey is tearing up the Dleague. time to see if he can make the bigleagues or not.

He cant shoot like David but I really rather not see 7 footers attempting threes anyway.
