The What: Your Houston Rockets at the Toronto Raptors

The When: 11:30 AM CST (yikes!)

The Where: Air Canada Centre, Toronto, Canada

The Who: I’m sorry, but I still don’t know why the NFL is booking these older bands for the Super Bowl Halftime Show…but that’s not important right now.

The Skinny: Houston is 13-9 on a 4 game winning streak. Their last game saw them beating Philly in Philly. The Raptors fell to 10-15 with their last game against the Hawks. The Rockets play well on the road; but Chris Bosh is playing out of his freaking skull! The Rockets will be outsized (again), so in the immortal words of Darrel Royal – “Dance with who brung ya!” Keep doing what the team has been doing so far and they have a good chance to win this game!

Starting for your Houston Rockets:

Image

PG – Aaron Brooks

Image

SG – Trevor Ariza

Image

SF – Shane Battier

Image

PF – Luis Scola

Image

C – Chuck “The Truck” Hayes

Also Starring…

Image

Carl Landry, as “The Man”

Image

Kyle Lowry, as “The Shortest 7-footer Ever!”

Image

David Andersen, as “Damage Assessment”

Image

Chase Budinger, as “The Rookie”

Featuring:

Image

The Rockets Power Dancers

Image

Erik Estrada, as “Ponch”

Image

Another Rockets Power Dancer throwing it down!!!

Image

And ALF, as “A Respected NBA Referee”

Starting for the Raptors…

PG – Calderon
SG – DeRozan
SF – Turkoglu
PF – Bosh
C – Bargnani

(I think…)

Rockets need to keep their heads on and play with the same intensity that they brought t the Lakers or Cavs. If they show up with the intensity they brought to the Sixers then it will be ugly. I predict a solid win, keyed by Scola and the L&L Boys!

Nah bro, Calderon is injured. Jack is starting. But i just wanted to let you guys all know not to expect to come into our hood and steal a victory, because it aint happening. The raptors are on a 2 game losing streak, and are cheesed off right now. I know you guys are a good team and all, but hey you cant stop Bosh, you got no one that can go out and guard bargnani at the perimeter. Good luck, but im taking Toronto in this one 110 - 92. Peace.

Made my day...

So this one starts at 11? Cool... I'll watch for an hour and then flip it over to the Texans game. Of course the way they have been playing the past month I'm sure I will be flipping back and forth more often than I want to. :-?

Rockets gon whoop dat ass and Bosh is going to discover that Houston is the place he wants to be and will be wearing a Rockets jersey by the trading deadline.

The Texans are still playing? How cute. They sure are adorable! I hope they keep losing so we can speed up the hiring Cowher process.

Oh, and go Rockets.
We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

How about "Land Shark" as a nickanme for Carl?
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

I agree... but I'm a football addict. I'd still watch even if they hadn't won a game all season.

I think our owner is just being a stand up guy and letting Kubiak finish his contract. He will be gone and Cowher will be brought in!

I don't see Calderon not playing as that big of an advantage. Calderon was the one who stopped Hedo from taking over and being effective. Watching a couple of Raps games this season, I have noticed that he is way overrated. So I believe this may even somehow have a postive impact on the Raps.

Otherwise, should not be that hard. They can't defend and we have an above average offense. They can attack but we also have an above average defense. I would also like to see what the combination of Brooks-Lowry-Ariza-Landry-Hayes would do against the athleticism lacking Raptors.

Another lethargic start by the Rockets. They can't come out of the gate without any fire.

What has gotten into this team lately with the slow starts? They've been playing well, but not well enough to be working from behind all the time.
