Rumor Battier will be traded for Andre Miller from the Portland Trailblazers.

Dude, the "rumor" started because David Aldridge reported that Pritchard called Houston and asked if they could have Battier for Miller...which DA also points out has about a snowball's chance in happening.

Pritchard has made some smart moves as a GM...but he's f#$%ing higher than Willie Nelson if he thinks that he's going to outsmart Daryl Morey.

Of course, if we're going by NBA columnists to establish NBA truth, then I guess that Dick Justice broke the story about LeBron coming here!

Why would u want to trade one of the smartest NBA players - a true defensive technician and cerebral figure when it comes to playbooks - for another point guard - especially when u have 2 pretty good ones.

probably so. but with portland being near the bottom of nba teams in revenue according to forbes and actually losing money it wouldnt be a big stretch to see portland try and shed some payroll and no one is going to take on oden (who can't stay healthy) or miller (who has a bad long term contract and is disgruntled coming off the bench)

well if the thought came to ur mind that shane has been the best player to guard kobe this decade, that alone makes him a fair trade for whoever, including the 2000 michael jordan , or the 3peat shaq, and how can i forget lebron james? who wants to play kobe in the playoffs w/o shane battier on their team (hopefully you also have good inside defense)? im glad my team doesnt .

Without good interior defense a perimeter defender's effectiveness is decreased - which is why if the Kings had better, more consistent interior/team defense Ron Artest would of looked better after his 1st season with the Kings
